this video made me sub april 2009 ,couldnt quite understand why you would so this then ,,now a year later im flying a 450 and 500 and understand it can be easily done,,funnie how movies look different once you can fly .
The gyro is a must to keep the nose pointed where you want. For a Trex 450S as that one is you are looking at about $995 USD. But that will vary depending on what servos, gyro & radio you use.
i dont know for sure because its some time ago. It could be that i was not flying on idle up. i know what heli could have had a higher head speed. Because it had a 12T pinion on it with a 3550 kv motor. But i was flying it on low throttle here.
I dont have this one anymore. i now got a 450 SE V2 and a 450 Pro.
im upgrading mine with carbon fiber just so it can lift more weight with an onboard camera headtracker device from hobby wireless havnt bought it yet but will next spring!!!
I envy you guys. I never really got past the simulator. i did get two real 450s but once built could not fly them. I know nothing about balancing the blades and all that. I wish I could learn =(
hey, the way i learnt was actually by crashing, when i had my first heli, i crashed on the first flight, and realised the swash mix wasn't right, now i know throttle curve, swash mix, pitch curve, expo, hh mode and all that, it just takes time, hope that helps.
I love radix blades. I recently got them, and I will from now on buy nothing but radix! They are incredibly smooth, but dont have as much pop as align v2 carbons. Slim in profile too.
Yeah they are great. I also have a set of Rotor tech blades now the black yellow ones. They also fly great. But i think Radix is still the best. They can run op to 3400 RPM. Thats sick!!!
very nice much beter good job man. I some how did 3d on my third flight! maybe u can to if you want you can watch some of my videos or i can help you with 3d.
I'm @ fligh 30/40 now :P i'm doing 3D in the sim only. To scary in real life. If you crash there goes 800$ :). But if the weather is goed next yeah i'm gonna try is. Fly high in the sky so you have some time to compensate. And hope for the best :P
Lol not 800$ haha the worst crash could be like 100$ i crashed once before it was 30$ plus when u order parts it comes in 2 to 3 pairs so really ur paying 1 time for about 2 crashes IF you have the right parts.
What is the pit curve and trottler curve?

how much does it cost? thanks

is the gyro a must have or does it just give a easyer flight
billbom 2 years ago
When you use a Heading Hold Gyro it will hold the tail straight and compensate for wind and other stuff. It will give you a much easier flight.

how come you loosing rpm just by taking off the heli... battery charged ?

I use T-rex 500 skids on mine which gives me a somewhat larger footprint to land on for a more stable landing.
trexranger1 2 years ago
what difference do the Radix blades give over stock 325 woodies? looking good btw
yeogav 2 years ago
About 1-1,20 in extra flight time. And the heli is solid when you do punch outs.

nice heli but not too sure about them skids...
heliman85 3 years ago
They make the heli more stable when landing. I saved me about 6 times. If i had the normal skids it would have hit the ground. They are very strong.

may i know what is the run time for this 450 battery?
ToCorrectYou 3 years ago
Depends on the Headspeed and blades you use. With those blades (radix) and the 430L motor with 12t set on 80% throttle. I could run 9 min.
My 450sev2 with scorpion 2221-8 V2 and 3000 HS will do only 7 min but it has way more power.

you should try the blade cx2. it is not a ccpm helicopter and it doesn't take much skill to fly.

My radix blades alone kost like 55$ over here. Heli parts are 30-50% cheaper in hong knong and the USA.
But i will be doing 3d. Gonna start with some stall turns and loopings. Then rolls and flips.
Nelthalin 4 years ago
radix is the way to go (inverted) !
okayplayer31 4 years ago
Ghehe. They are beautiful and super in performance.
But no inverted for me yet. First i have to be able to fly perfectly nose in they we are gonna try flips and rolls.

Wow !! very beatiful you make a easy fly!! congratulations for fly with T Rex 450 s , this is a real machine 450 size !! goodbye guy !
