The guard originaly ticketed the student for littering and the other charges weren't composed untill after her mother arrived. While a discovery request could have led to a release to the DA's office, there is no way he could have released information to a reporter.

The cops in the Rodney King beating were also cleared of any wrong doing. Besides, doctors are not allowed to break patients' confidentiality by releasing results of tests or treatment. While a discovery request could have led to a release to the DA's office, there is no way he could have released information to a reporter.

Doctors cannot disclose this information to REPORTERS. While the law compels disclosure to the court, personal med info cannot be released to reporters w/o consent.
