why not use PACKING OR DUCT TAPE???? Why would you do this to a baby...and yes they like being tucked a bit...but they sure as HELL DO NOT LIKE TO BE CONFINED and strapped like a package...especially because they cannot move accurately when having bloating pains where the movement of the arms is not possible in a position like this and trust me I am a medical professional...if the womb was still large enough for the babies they would not be born yet...stop stupid argumentation
visit the faq page it will give information. term infants are swaddled up to 3-4months. they need their hands free after this time period as they are learning to turn. there are sleep sacks that your niece can now begin transitioning into to help her sleep soundly. Also swaddling is to sooth an infant and for sleep not for 24hr use. they should speak to their pediatrician for advice.
I have a question that I hope someone can please answer: my brother has a 4.5 month old baby girl, he does this to his baby and keeps her like that even to this day almost 24hrs a day, except to bathe her. My mom is concerned with this since she is going to her 5th month 05/03/11....when should one STOP doing this? PLEASE, PLEASE ANYONE GET BACK TO ME!! THANKS!!
Now, speaking seriously, unless you wrap a baby really tight, there's no problem at all. Remember the space they have inside mom is even tighter, so they just feel "like home"
If only I saw this video 5 months ago!!! my baby is 6 months, and it took me one month of trial and error to learn to swaddle her, and I'm not even close to do it as the host does!
