i play dnd or more i know the rules all my friends call me a nerd and the two people who do play dont know any rules,have any dice,own any ruebooks or understand the concept [e.g they made their guys the worlds first hippies] im really wish i had someone to play with :(

@reddorf Well, I can't recommend enough the new Red Box Starter Set as well as the new essentials core books. I've recently started a game using these new materials, and most of my players are completely new. Everyone is picking it up very quickly, and we're having a blast!

I've looked into it, but truth be told, I'm more likely to throw out the manual and just make it up myself (or as guidelines). It all seems very elaborate and confusing, but interesting nonetheless.

most DMs do bend the rules to their liking, your meant too. All of the manuals have helpful things for a DM to refer to but in all of the campaigns ive made its been alot easier to bend certain rules.

@pessimistpojken Im 17, and just starting out and so far, it's better than any RPG game i've played on a console. When you're grouped with friends, and can ast out your part without being embarrassed, you really feel like your in the game. It's amazing fun with a good group, definitely give it a try.

LOL ah yes the brainwashing scare where tons of kids were doing bad things because of D&D. No that never happened. There were only 2 cases where kids did something bad and then it turns out that both of them had serious mental problems like schizophrenia. I wont get into the details of what happened though cuz of the young kids on here.
