that is very special/weird... This is the only time i see him really singing it LIVE. Honestly i don't like all the lipsyncing in the dangerous/history tour. But why not leave the backing track if sings live?

Its becuase if you notiice, hes not singing it very well live a lot of artist leave the prerendered vocals in and sing over them to sound more polished.

Listen to all the Billie Jean concerts of the Dangerous, Bad, Victory tours. They were completely sung live but he always sings low-key and always sounds very tired. To me he didn't sound like Michael Jackson at all. It's not like singing Billie Jean in high-key all in one cut can be repeated on stage as it was done in the studio. Same goes for Black or White.
