This is an apple crisp bcz of the oatmeal and nuts in addition 2 flour and butter/shortening, whereas crumble has pastry topping of flour and butter perhaps some sweetener.

We make this at home too, but we put Carnation Evaporated 2% milk on top, its wonderful and it tastes so good, brings all the flavours of the crisp out

i have the same slicer but green and the suction is broke but it works like a dream. i also use it for apple crisp but i use less sugar because i find it's better nice and tart. i also use granny smith for the natural sourness.

I cannot find a recipe for apple crisp which I am satisfied with. I'm sure that this recipe is wonderful, however, my dad dislikes the version with oatmeal in it.

I can't find a no-oatmeal recipe in which the apples are just slightly sweetened with cinnamon, flour, lemon, and sugar. All the no-oatmeal recipes I have found say to put the apples into the pan with no additional filling ingredients (blah) and all the sugar, cinnamon, and flour is in the topping only.

the diference between and apple crisp and a apple crumble is that in a apple crisp u pat it down to make like a layer on the bottom then u put the apples and then u put another layer os the mixture and pat it down and what u made is an apple crumble :) looks yummy
