  • Uh...sure, increase morphine dosage so it doesn't hurt. The patient could get better BUT they be addicted to morphine. Eventually they'll switch to other drugs which are easier to get and one day they'll die from over dosing on whatever drug they turned to. In the end, they're still dead only without dignity.

  • You forgot to show the patients screaming in agony because the morphine failed.

  • People who refuse treatment also end up dead. Should we outlaw this aspect of patient autonomy as well?

  • com⋅pas⋅sion /kəmˈpæʃən/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [kuhm-pash-uhn] Show IPA

noun 1. a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering.

Nothing in there about WANTING anyone to suffer.

  • Why should the doctor be in control of terminal sedation and not the patient? Why does it have to be a slow process that ends in death either way? If doctors can get access to Nembutal, why can't the rest of us?

Why should self-starvation be the only legal option? As the situation currently stands, Auschwitz was more human than hospices today are.

  • I assure you that everything in this video is true. If the opening and music is a little dramatic, it is only to draw attention to the very real danger. Don't let the fact that this video was produced by a nonprofit with little money or experience for this sort of thing distract you from the fact that these are real people's stories.

  • Jeez, talk about scare tactics! This is nearly 10 minutes of hooey.
