No other country is embarrassed to require ID. I was recently in Germany and Austria and was asked to produce ID and PASSPORT in both countries while simply touring! No other reason. No other country is embarrassed to require ID. I was recently in Germany and Austria and was asked to produce ID and PASSPORT in both countries while simply touring! No other reason. I just looked foreign, so the Polizei asked who I was. Had I not been able to ID myself/purpose in their country, they had full right to arrest me. The smart countries guard themselves and borders and don't care what anyone else thinks. Only the US puts votes and world image, above security of its own people.

This is stupid. Illegal is ILLEGAL, it's not complicated at all. "What does an illegal immigrant look like" is a stupid question, along the lines of "What does an idiot look like?" I don't know what they look like, but with idiots you tell by what they sound like - they ask stupid questions for one.
Illegal immigrants are generally unable to provide proof of citizenship - that's how you tell with them. Asking what they look like is stupid.

I have to say to those who don't agree with 1070 to move here for a few months to see what all of the fuss is about. Maybe you will then get an idea of what you are talking about! Too many people just get on the bandwagon without checking out the facts just to be in the "in crowd". SB 1070 is for the citizens of AZ! Our state is becomming bankrupt because of all of the illegal aliens! Our federal government has the same law but they don't enforce it. It's time to take back our government !!!!!

OK, so I'm a registered Democrat in AZ. However, I DO support Jan Brewer & Sheriff Joe Arpaio & I will continue to vote for them. I know, no one voted for Jan Brewer, but I WILL this coming election. I will continue to vote for those that uphold the LAW! I am a law-abiding citizen & I expect ALL THAT LIVE HERE to also be law-abiding citizens!! I agree that people are laughing at AZ but that's just because they don't live here to put up with the illegals that are taking over our state.
