I wouldn't argue that rich people are the more productive since it is indeed the middle and lower classes that do the labor that is truly needed in our society. They are the "backbone of society"! It makes sense that those who earn more should pay more instead of the current system in which the poor pay much more taxes than the rich proportional to their income. I suspect Paul doesn't want income taxes because income taxes are bad for corporations.

Ron Paul believes in the fundamental concept that people should be able to keep what they earn. It is there property, just as a house, car or clothes are. You, and your enforcer--the government--have no right to the fruits of anyones labor. And that is intellectual labor as well as physical labor.

Regarding your economic arguements, I would recommend you read either (or both) Thomas Sowell's "Basic Economics" or Milton Friedmans "Free to Choose".
