This was an interesting interview. I wish they could have elaborated more on the Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band, especially since they have "You've Got Something" instrumental in the background. I wonder if and where I could find that version of the song....it's really nice. Darnell and Coati Mundi definitely deserve more attention today.... prolific artists.

They never really made it big outside of the few American towns they mentioned in this interview. The Midwest in particular is extremely boring and dull. The people there have the " work and go directly home" mentality. They don't like anything or anyone different. So when something or someone foreign enters their world they either hate it or them or ignore it or them. Take it from me I'm a Midwesterner.

@bryanferryfan -- LOL I was born and raised in the Midwest, too! Left in '89 and never looked back. The radio stations were SO dull--only Top 40 or Country & Western to choose from. Billy Joel, Michael Jackson, and Chicago were wildly popular in the dorms at State U. I only discovered Kid Creole because we trained to 'Endicott' in a dance class.

BTW, 'Avalon' is one of my favourite songs.
