  • His piano skills are unbelievable for 4 years old. We wait to see if he can also be a fantastic composer like that British kid Shane Thomas.

  • No matter how old you are, what your skill is, there's always a 4 year old asia kid that's better than you

  • not another asain...

  • @gavinvilla13 it's in the bLoOd! ;P

  • Check out the video on my account of my little brother on the piano! He's only in middle school

  • lol i love how he walked away like a boss

  • poor littl thing...hope he doesn't burn out..

  • holy cow

  • This one defs has talent, even if ur forced by ur parents to play hardcore, normal kids aren't capable of it. He'll probs be one of the remembered pianists in the future. And he already has his own composition ;OO

  • :O

  • ive been learning piano for 2 years and he beats me by a mile

  • Half ass claps cause he's a kid LOL fuck that. He's prolly more smart than all them.

  • vosxishaites etim chudom...vo teto talant....

  • definitely robot..

  • awww so cute :D

  • @mLsurfer182 F U!!!!!!!!!! HE'S AWESOME!!!!!

  • i still playing ''ABC'' when i was in his age... go chinese boy!!

  • sigh... i have to agree with the world.. i'm an american.. and we are sad. but come on! asians are good at everything

  • I wouldn't be surprised if he out played Beethoven at this song. Chuck Norris bows down to you, Shuan Hern Lee!

  • Comeing to think of it..... WHY DIDNT I DO THIS EARLIER IN LIFE. We Americans have this potential but we are not putting the exceeding amount of effort into our actions. This kid plays more amazing than me and im well beyond his age, He has the potential of a professional musician

  • So much hate... Could you all stop thinking who is best and who does what wrong and just enjoy this video? For what it's worth, this video is better than 99% of other videos on youtube, yet isn't recognized for it. I am by no means a Beethoven fan, but I know dedication and effort when I see it. This little guy wouldn't want people comparing "lazy white people and niggers" at his concert instead of enjoying what he has to offer.

I know this is old but, you're amazing! Keep it up!

  • Every single person that is arguing over this "Asians are awesome" vs "Asians are Monkeys" is an idiot. Who cares if he is Asian or not, just listen to the fucking music. Btw, I'm an Asian and I don't consider us to be the best race, anyone who thinks that any race is better than another is an ignorant idiot. Asians are not "trained apes", hard work is just a value that is very important to us. Obviously Shaun enjoys playing piano, so stop saying that his parents are ruining his childhood.

  • SUPER !

  • that was great! haha

  • @1W15HT0 :

Are you stupid? What do you love? Trained Apes?

Yes, most whites are lazy but every human being has a right to childhood! And I hate trained apes and I hate their parents and teachers much more! They are no human beings and no geniuses at all, just trained apes! Think of it!

  • O.O im 11 and hes better then me

  • you are better than me even when i'm like grade 3!! and you're younger than me?

  • Very good, But Was he have childhood or will have it?

  • @TheNiggerButcher lmao amen brother lol thats sum funny shit but true

  • @TheNiggerButcher Hating ass white nigga! Get a life you racist loser who made a stupid ass fucking youtube just to critisize people from the black culture. Fuck you bitch.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheNiggerButcher Bitch, ill put your ass on wellfare and tell the bitches in charge to not give you SHIT!

  • this is a piano video and u are talking about who found astronomy? fuck u all.

u know to play piano at your age? he is 4 and he plays like an adult. hide your heads like an ostrich and stop talking about races and that stuff. look arround there are other people in the world. grow up

  • the hell is up with the comments comment on the video and keep it moving keep the race remark to yourselves and TNB funny you know about welfare playboy whats that say about you...ill give you a hint////broke

  • why there is always about race on a video about amazing kid with big talent?? when he's good... he's good... you can lead horse to water, but you can't make it drink...

  • @stfo13 This is by far one the stupidest comments I've seen... Do really do think Americans own everything?

I agree that 1W15Ht0's comment is just as stupid as yours, but its absolutely idiotic to say that 90% of all inventions come from Europe and the United states, WHICH, by the way, doesn't only consist of pale skinned people. If I have to play by your rules I would say America invented maybe 1-2% of stuff, and whole of Europe 20-30%. But that's a dumb way of putting it

  • 66 people hate four-year olds.

  • I love how he just walks off like a boss.

  • I heard a little laughing at the end? Why?

  • 99.9% may say made in china. To reiterate; good at copying. As in playing someone else's music. Of the useful breakthroughs like electricity, internal combustion engine, gravity, (insert anything useful). Lmao tangrams, pottery, ice cream?? Oh I'm not sure about your paper theory either. Anyways, your argument proves my point. Thanks. Lol. And I'm stupid? Don't get how you're superior. Actually if it has to be one or the other, I guess it would be....the other.

  • Kids like these....they make my skills seem worthless. :O

  • Well with the "Asians are superior" talk. I'd just like to know what great inventions and breakthroughs y'all managed? Good at copying. That's about it!!

  • @Grayey27 are you fucking kidding me. There are no great inventions or break throughs from asian???

how about: paper, silk, matches, wheelbarrows, gunpowder, the decimal system, the waterwheel, the sundial, astronomy, porcelain china, lacquer paint, pottery wheel, fireworks, paper money, compass, seismograph, tangrams, medicines, dominoes, jump rope, kites, tea ceremony, folding umbrella, ink, calligraphy, animal harness, playing cards, printing, abacus, wallpaper, the crossbow, ice cream

  • @milklolol don't forget noodles! (even though it pains me, since i'm italian. but thanks a lot!)

  • @milklolol astronomy was founded by the mayans..

  • @Tayuya12611 no, it wasn't genious, the ancient indians practiced such a thing several thousand years before the mayans existed

  • @s34n777 Genious? thats not even how you spell it.

  • @Tayuya12611 that's beside the point. Why do you think the mayans 'founded' astronomy?

  • @Grayey27 u sir are fucking stupid, just about everything we have today comes from asia, we copy them, damn ur stupid. look at everything in ur house i guarantee that 99.9% of everything in your house came from asia. and if u dont believe me go look at the tags on everything i bet it will say made in china somewhere on it

  • I find it most incredible the power of this kid's fingers, especially at this age. Very hard to find kid's with that much control and power!

  • the next beetoven. absolutely amazing.

  • hes soooo cute. :D everyone stop with all the racist crap and debating. the most important thing is to listen to the music and just appreciate it. not critisize it.

  • I agree with 1W15 whatever. I'm a racist against my own kind too. The bigger question is, WHEN DID HE START TAKING LESSONS?????

  • Yea, YOU WROTE HIS DAD TAUGHT HIM.. Watch Emily bear's, She's a born piano prodigy.. Nobody taught her anything, it just came out of her naturally.

  • @xDefineRain I agree. Emily Bear's the real piano prodigy that might be remembered hundreds of years in the future. This kid's talent will be buried amidst the thousands of other kids who also have talent.

  • Wolfgang Armahern Leeart

  • I think he is a fantastic musician but its not a result of him naturally loving the piano, there has definately been a force behind his playing. I have being playing the piano for 8 years and I can tell that he has been forced into doing it by his parents

  • fuckin asians, hahahaha

btw im asian, i find this hilarious

  • Well if you watch him on Australia's got talent, you can tell that he enjoys music "-.-

  • he's amazing. makes me think what the fuck i was doing when i was four

  • go shuan hern lee! so cute and so talented!

although, i must say, i'm sick of the whole "asians are bad!" vs. "asians are the best race!" on youtube. seriously?

  • Not NEAR as amazing as that asian kid that smokes 40 cigarettes a day.

  • what the helllllllll... how are his hands big enough to play this?? I hear a lot of octave chords

  • Sooo what if he was white..would you be criticizing?

    I don't get it. Appreciate, don't hate!

  • @iloveghelyun trust me he will learn to understand the music. just watch his got talent videos

  • i dont understand why parents like to train their children like monkeys. the child obviously doesn't understand the music.

  • @iloveghelyun Jealous bitch. Parents don't make us dumb fuck. I don't know who you refer to for this information. This is in our gene. We Asians ARE the BEST race. Shut the Fuck Up. And if you are Asian, you fail BADLY.

  • @dannyville211 Lmfao get over yourself. There is no best race, there's plenty of flaws in your race and every other race. Arrogant fuck

  • @MisterAssassinPanda poor white idiot. Its not my fault your dumb as hell. And don't say i have a small dick because your just proving how thats all you think about. Don't bother replying lmfao. I don't argue with dumb white people. (If you want to be racist)

  • @dannyville211 i cannot agree more. this small dick fake rumor is getting out of hand.

  • Doing music from a young age actually helps brain development. His parents guiding him to learn piano and practise is far more productive in my opinion than his parents having him watch teletubbies or whatever on TV like the majority of parents. :/

  • @Atheovia We never know if it's his parents who brought him to this. He is obviously a genius and you can see that he isn't pressured. The little boy loves what he's doing.

  • @Atheovia Besides, it's a God given talent. We don't just see 4 year olds like him play the piano like that. They would usually just press on random keys and enjoy the sound. But this guy ? He feels it. See the way he moves while playing the piano ? I don't blame the parents. They just support him on what he loves to do.

  • his parents made him on the piano

  • Its Always the Asians that are the best at things, i think they are secretly robots planning to rule the world... through music

  • @Carrrott lol

  • Why only music? They excel in Math and Science.

  • yeye i think hes only that good because of his freakin parents that want to become famous

  • @xD3nIzZ You jelly?

  • Holy-

  • My jaw is on the floor

  • He even grown a pianist hair... Cool~

  • He's from Australia, it has nothing to do with communism! Dumbfuck... It's people like you who buy into social stereotypes that cause racism

  • I love Asian people with a passion.

Us crackers could be as talented as any Asian person, we just need to get off our lazy asses and fucking work for it! Asian cultures have a lot more discipline and scheduling than us lazy white people. I know you're probably thinking WHAT?! A white person racist to white people? Yep. We're fucking lazy retards who don't do shit(Minus maybe less than 4% of us who are truly successful, not just by how much money they have in the bank). regardless, THIS KID OWNS

  • @1W15HT0 Speak for yourself. Not all the white people are lazy americans.

  • @IvanKoleshnikov I see lots of talented asian people and lots of talented american people, races (again) do not matter. Talented people are everywhere.

ps iam asian :) and i cannot play piano, how do you feel about asian discipline?

  • @trungkien978 He said "white people" are lazy, implying that all white people are like that. Most European musicians are just as hard working as the stereotypical "hard-working Asians". I teach violin and I have some lazy Asian students too, which break the stereotype. I'm from Russia where basically people who don't work hard end up doing either mining, tending public toilets or manufacturing shoes or electronics.

  • @1W15HT0 Actually to be honest, I dont think this kid deserves any praise. He was forced into learning music by his parents. His developing brain no doubt made it very easy for him to learn piano quickly and as well as he has. Its like a kid learning language, where each day he learns the meanings to 5 new words. Such a rapid rate of acquirement. If he was a 20 something who only started playing 5 years ago then I'd be surprised. Theres no 'prodigy' in teaching a child that can be taught easily

  • @1W15HT0 wait! your saying we can accomplish anything if we set our minds to it? GEE THANKS MISTER!

  • @1W15HT0 Asian's also run their own people over via tanks in public. Asian's also torture in war far more intensely than even the Germans did in WWII. Alot of Asia is in the shits right now. Their suicide rate is higher than any other race due to too strict of parenting and like you said "discipline and scheduling". Just because white people aren't always the prodigees, doesn't mean we don't work hard. Asians sent suicidal pilots to their deaths for "honor". Psh, please. Do the math sir.

  • @1W15HT0 call me racist but lazy white people ruled the world .. not talented asians .

  • @1W15HT0 hi.

  • @1W15HT0

I agree, except that asians don't diferenciate themselfs from whites only. I think asians are the only race that are born with the chips of discipline and sacrifice incorporated. I can't think of many countries that after a war that didn't leave them a brick on top of another could become a superpower again in 40 years. Japan did just that

  • WTF did I just watch? This kid is unbelievably AMAZING. I won't even bother critiquing or nitpicking, the fact that this kid can play musical sentences better than he can speak chinese sentences is flabbergasting. This kid has a gift, i don't think endless practicing with a 4 year old will deliver any amazing results, much less this.

  • 59 people were all set to play after him and walked out.

  • that poor child! his or her parents must be very stupid - if a child is with 4 years so good in piano - it have noooo freetime - only piano (thats often a problem in china because this fucking kommunists dont learn thats not important to be the best!!)

[sry for my bad english -.-]

  • @niklasficker "Poor child"? He is enjoying himself!

  • @niklasficker Just curious, what is important? If a person can be the best, what is wrong with him or her being so? Even though a person is capable of being the best, what, in your opinion, should that person do instead of being the best?

  • that was amazing!!!

  • BRAVO !!!

  • I could not believe his talent.I watched the video 5 times. His Dad should be very proud of him.

  • you are amazing.. keep it up !!! :)

  • FAKE. He's probably like 80 in real life ;)

  • @thedrumbum1990

    this either a joke

or your the dumbest fuck ever

OR simply jealous. ya give me the answer

  • @andygjata Oh but my friend, I believe it is you, who is the dumbest fuck ever, for not recognising a clearly sarcastic, jesting comment when you see one.

  • @thedrumbum1990

well, as mentioned above IN the option you were joking you are NOT considered dumb at all actually funny, it was simply not clear to understand whether your purpose was insulting or merely sarcastic

  • how such things are possible? it´s really amazing.. I can´t believe it..

  • i think he win :D

  • this child has a talent ! :) now im thinking that why din't I played when i was little , now im thinking that its so late to start play the piano ! i love when children are good at playing some instrument ! :))) sorry my english is bad :D

  • this child has a talent ! :) now im thinking that why din't I played when i was little , now im thinking that its so late to start play the piano ! i love when children are good at playing some instrument ! :)))

  • During the whole video i was like:

WTF WTF WTF WTF WTF WTF WTF

And then i realised: Hes a ninja.

  • This is not possible for a 4 year old.Im not saying its fake im saying my brain just cant process this!

  • @bobzandcheez

Its quite simply because you lack imagination. This is why these skills were never available to you. Its really not that hard to believe, although it is outrageously impressive!

  • I love his little bow at the end. He's so cute and plays so well!

  • thats soo cute, he cant reach to note so he has to lean on me!! hahaha :)

  • 56 geniuses learned to play this song before the age of 4

  • @figurefigure

No person that gifted is that arrogant..

My point being, lame comment, should have said "56 people learned to play this after 5 and thus jealous" or some shit

  • @figurefigure 3 more have been born in the past 2 months lmao

  • @figurefigure is that true?

  • @figurefigure Nice piece of humor !!

  • Certainly bags of confidence. Shaun is only four. I will be interested to see how Shaun progresses.

If you think Asians can't play well, then listen to this:

    youtube.com/watch?v=KPYpClBNyPU&feature=related

They are all one family, and that girl can play the violin much better than Hilary Hahn to my mind - she tied first equal with Pinkas Zukerman in the same compettion that Itzhak Perlman won in a different year!

  • And some people, such as Mozart and this young man, are born with a genius for a particular art form. Bravo!

  • i can't find the name of this song!

  • He is talented than a lot of people but not a prodigy.. So far only emily bear deserved the title(i mean still living, do not include mozart , beethoven or chopin).

  • @tky0414 Anyone who plays the piano better than anyone who can't play the piano is a prodigy, or talented as you would say. Just because Emily Bear had more media exposure you may think this. Anyone who can play Mozart or Beethoven's pieces of music are amazing people. Don't forget that.

  • No passion. O-o

  • @doug905 He's 4 for goodness sake! Just watch him on Australia's got talent.

  • ASIANS FTW

  • 20 people who doesnt appreciate music...

  • O....M....G...I'm so proud of my race. Even though some people call us stupid Asians and other shit, this little kid makes me proud of my origins!!!! hehehhe

  • ASIANS!!!!

  • boring... just like every other asian in my family.

  • @s33thr3w Mate, no need for that comment... just cos you couldn't play that when you were 4, and besides, I thought that was a very musical performance regardless of age or race.

  • @theCatsPajamas521 neither should you!

  • Comment removed

  • What Is This Song Call (YES I Know Watlz But What One I Search And Never Find It)

  • the age ir right? 4???

  • Amazing and all, but imho, to be that good at this age.. has more to do with parents forcing their kid to have no normal life as a kid, but to practice 8 hours a day since the age of waht.. 1? it's just sad really.. don't get me wrong it's amazing, but he will know no childhood, and proberaly never did know.. and that's a terrible thing.

  • Mozart just shit his pants.

  • awww que lindo!! jakjaka

    y toca bien!!! rayossssss U.U

  • Great job kid. Keep at it!

  • Sorry you have mistaken! This kid loves music & loves to play the piano everyday, composes, watches operas, sings, plays the violin and all these musical activities were done without any PUNISHMENT or PUSHED into it or FORCED into it as you thought it must be! He really understands about music. I have seen many other kids similarly interested in music & not forced too! There are also Asian kids who do not learn music. It depends on the family's choice & nothing to do with what race we are.

  • @theCatsPajamas521 ok fine, if u really think so, that kid is asain and its part of their culture for parents to make them do music at extremely young ages, they go through really hard times because the levels of music they choose to do in such little time is too much to handle for a 4year- old brain! are you asain??? probably not, so u wouldn't know! im not, but I know this for a fact!

  • Yh hes very gifted, but nothing is certain yet.

  • GoTTCanada, I agree with you...

Let them compose some stuff and then we'll see who the real talent is.

  • @chocoholicchic92

"Great for his age". I think that is a big understatement. I dont know many 4 year olds that can play "Mary had a little lamb" never mind Beethoven.

    Cut the kid some slack.

He is obviously talented beyond the norm.

  • He's great for his age, but we will see how he turns out. I don't think you can call a person a "prodigy" until they are older and it is proven. He may just be more mentally advanced at this stage, but the other kids might catch up. We will see what happens.

  • @chocoholicchic92

"Great for his age". I think that is a big understatement. I dont know many 4 year olds that can play "Mary had a little lamb" never mind Beethoven.

He is obviously talented beyond the norm.

  • holy CRAP!!! HE IS SOOOOOOOOOO GOOD

  • holy CRAP!!!

  • thats amazing, you critics, shut up

  • very nice!

  • Truly amazing.

  • everyone's a critic, which is sad because they could not pull this off at their age

  • @GoTFCanada1230 So you're saying you could've done this no problem when you were 4 years old? Doubtful

  • Better than Llewellyns i must say i liked it he did a wonderful job for a four year old to play Beethoven wonderful he may have messed up time to time but for his age it was wonderful i think it was to much pressure on the child as he grows he will become a prodigy i tell you that

  • Here's 5 things that a child prodigy needs if anyone is unsure of my views:

    1. Ability to interpret music ON THEIR OWN like Argerich

    2. Ability to compose like the classical greats at a young age (5-17)

    3. Ability to show exceptional technique like Barenboim

    4. Ability to sightread music at ease

    5. Ability to hear specific tones perfectly (perfect pitch).

  • he is actually not talented. not only me, but hundreds of talented pianists and other musicians alike refrain from the "unmusically knowledgeable" audiences such as tv shows and the internet. The thought of him actually going on a television show with so many people claiming he is talented which is is not compared to the musical world, is stupid. The best pianists and musicians around the world shy away from the internet and are only well known within the musical society.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheJonathanLi I think you are contradicting your own comments. If you shy away from internet, then why do you watch this video? pianists and musicians should be performing to all kinds of people so as to further promote classical music. How could you speak for the musical world and musicians around the world stating that they shun away from internet.

  • @TheJonathanLi So could you explain why Kissin, Lang Lang, Yundi Li and many others were on TV shows and TV interviews and they have websites on internet? They go on the show to share their music and thoughts for the world of musicians and non musicians alike! That is the way to further promote music!

  • I can't understand people fussing with this video. Even your parents can push you so hard, you can't become a pianist unless you have true interest in it. I really admire this child, I am sure he can focus what he is doing, and even he copy other people's composed music, he's still a wonderful child for me.

  • @ilovemaung of course he's a wonderful child. We just didn't like the fact he was hastily hailed a prodigy when we don't even know whether he'll truly blossom in his teen and adult years.

  • @ilovemaung Depending how hard your parents push you! In some families a daily punishments are normal!

  • He is a miracle ! Great !

  • 1.he is asian

    2. motzart composed one of his first songs at age 5 and it is one of the most well known songs to man kind... "twinkle twinkle little star" haha

  • i feel sorry for that kid, that is just so harsh of parents to make him start so young!

  • @juaniluco888 What's wrong with introducing him to music at a young age? It's good for the kid.

  • @Rockspider2 He's the one posting crap about asians!
