well you guys just have to remember that foie gras, or duck liver, is very high in calories, so that makes up a really good chunk of it. Also i'm pretty sure that meat on the pizza was not standard ham, but rather italian cured meat, which would be higher calorie because of a higher fat content.

Its not the size that makes it expensive its the ridiculous ingredients like the truffle and entire lobe of foie gras. For you to say every pizza place utilizes fresh ingredients shows that you have never worked in a restaurant, the amount of stuff that comes out of a can is horrifying. @piewoodpizza we have trained chefs buying fresh ingredients daily and making everything from scratch.
