They should have done a commercial about how if you slam into a full-sized tractor at 55mph you'll get annihilated if you're not wearing a seatbelt. If seatbelt adds in the US were like seatbelt adds in the UK we wouldn't need to make it illegal for people to not wear seatbelts because they would be absolutely terrified of getting into an accident without a seatbelt on.

That's why you should use seatbelts not only for your sake, but for others as well.

Your mass doesnt change significantly until you reach about 90% of the speed of light, and you are just as likely to be hit by a flying tyre or bonnet or shard of glass or other debris. Id be willing to wager no one has ever been killed purely by being hit by a person flying from their car
