People need to read, Nesta Websters, "Secret Societies & Subversive Movements". All dualistic movements & secret societies were designed, funded & propagated by Jews like this bearded charlatan in the video, to destroy the belief in God by teaching he had an evil brother. Once they get you to believe that, "Lucifer is God & unfortunately Adonay is also God" (Albert Pike-Morals & Dogma) they can strip you of your belief in any; virtue, ethics or morals but the ones they train you in. BEWARE!
@stonedcommander That's what Karl Marx (Father was a Rabbi) said as well. He even enjoyed writing, "Christian Poetry" as a young man. Later he wrote the Communist Manifesto (political Messianism) & this philosophy led to over 250 million dead (mostly Christians) in the 1900's. Vlad the Impaler also claimed he was a Christian & so do hundreds of people on death row. Baalim worshipping Mormons who committed the, "Mountain Meadows Massacre" & sleep with children also claim to be Christian.

My good sir, you took it on the chin (pretty hard infact) and instead of running and hiding like many creationists here on youtube do, you admitted your mistake publically like a man! I'll drink to that my friend!
Healthy discussions are always a good idea! As long as you can back up your opinions with logical arguments people will always respect you. But there are not always two sides to a story in some cases...take care...What you have achieved is an abundance of wisdom and I think not many people can say that for themselves...I applaud you good sir!
If it is alright with you, I am thinking of creating an award myself that rewards individuals who exhibit exponential growth & humility. Is it okay if I call it the StonedCommander prize?
Of course were willing to forgive you, Fuck me, you are the first and only theist Ive EVER seen apologise. You sir could lead your faith forward. I salute you!
A samurai asks an old zen master to teach him about heaven and hell. The old master insults him telling him he is too stupid to understand. The samurai grabs his sword and threatens to kill him for his insolence. "That," said the master "is hell."
The samurai realises the lesson he has been taught by the old master and kneels humbley before him thanking him
It's good to have open mindedness, and those who are open to changing their opinions on the internet. I think you phrased it perfect, "You can go about things without being an asshole." Fantastic. Thank you.

if creationists all had this much integrity, the world would quickly become a better place.
its really not a lack of integrity either, that so many christians suffer from, i know most of them want to be good people.
the problem is the onslaught of propoganda, based in dogma that gets interpreted hundreds of different ways. then alienation from the real world over time allows rational people to become irrational, i cant wait till religion is dead
Buddy, I dont know much about you at all except you have the biggest stones of anyone I have seen on Youtube to date. You admitted being wrong about something you ardently supported when you found out it wasnt true, and you did this in front of the world.
That one act took true, undiluted, courage and character.
I may not agree with some of your views, but I applaud your courage and integrity.
Hope for tomorrow is held not by the will of gods but through the courage of humanity.
"It takes a smart man to know when he's being stupid."~ Barney Rubble.
My favorite quote and I try to live by it every day. You've shown yourself more mature and respectable than many on both sides of this issue. Science is all about rational debate. it welcomes and encorages thoughtful dissention (in fact it could not exsist without it). So, we welcome more challenges from you and others on our own viewpoints. Rock the beard, SC!
Well, here's another atheist who really respects you and your stance on this issure, my friend. I really admire you and you should be appreciated by your theist community as a good guy.
hey stone...no need to appologize. You were wrong about something and admitted it. No big deal. As an atheist your appology is absolutely not necesary.
Most people, including me, don't have the balls to make videos and put our necks on chopping block. Sometimes that works..and sometimes, predictably, you get your head chopped off.
I'm not speaking for the atheist community..but as far as this atheist goes, your appolgy is simply not necessary.
Haha right on brother well your beard does good work as a hider and as an aesthetic cranial accessory, lol.
And yes that basically sums up my beliefs, I am not *certain* that there is no God, because that would be illogical, so I'm definitely open to the possibility.
I'd actually love to find some direct evidence for the existence of God. It'd be very comforting to learn that we're being looked after and/or that I could see my dead father again in an afterlife, I look for evidence every day.
yes, an afterlife where we can be re-united with our fallen ancestors would be real cool.
Many get upset with God because he comes across as mean and quick to destroy...but how do we treat insects? if a roach or mosquito crosses our path we try to destroy it right?
A big mistake people make is putting us in the same league as a God...we are as insects to such a being...if he or it is real then he gave us a universe, life and everything we know...why should he tolerate betrayal?
right on Stonedcommander, you shouldve kept the ratings active I was gonna give 5* for courage and general awesome honesty, it takes big balls to admit when one is wrong and to do it so straightforwardly
I don't know if I could've done the same in your position, I don't know if I'm a big enough person. Pride is a hell of a drug, right?
A lot of respect for you, no forgiveness needed from someone as lowly as me, that's for sure, but I definitely think you're a man of solid character. Wish we had more StonedCommanders in this world!
I think I'll even subscribe to you to see what else you might have to say.
Have you considered on your other videos linking to this one so people won't get confused about them? Or changing the description in them to let people know that those are no longer your views?
@stonedcommander I respect that you have changed, and acutally am glad that a creationist could actually be convinced. But one thing that I must point out is that athiesm and religion are compatable in some cases, and modern science does not eliminate religion or the possibilty of a diety (but it does take away a literal interpretation). You can still be religious, but just not attack science. Kudos to you and your bravery.
I am an atheist with leanings toward anti-theism, yet I do my best not to ridicule someone for religious beliefs that they may hold, but I do believe I have the right to challenge them as to why they hold such beliefs.
I find that many of the religious simply haven't given their "faith" much thought & when asked about it, they are understanding that their position isn't well justified yet they choose to believe anyway & I'm cool with that
I hope you will find most atheists are cool with those who humbly profess an unsophisticated brand of religious faith.
However, I & other atheists positively bristle at religious proponents who arrogantly profess their faith with horrible (if not willfully dishonest) arguments
This form of religious-based propoganda will continue to be met with ridicule, scorn & vitriol (other people's feelings be damned)
One overriding desire I have for the religious believers is that they are self-aware enough to realize that they are professing belief in something that is foundationally imaginery in nature. I know many believers who possess this understanding & I greatly appreciate it, but oh so many others defiantly reject this requirement & seek to equate belief & non-belief as equally faith-based (which is quite-simply complete bullshit)
It takes so much balls for someone to do something like this and it doesn't matter what religion you are part of. Well done that man! Merry Christmas Stonedcommander!
See, now that's the brotherly love we need on youtube. You truly show the qualities of a model human being, my fine friend, and I think we can all be very proud of you. From here on out, may you always be remembered as "the big guy with the big heart". Let's just hope that the rest of youtube learns from your example. In the words of a classic cliche British stereotype, "Good show, old bean."
P.S. I totally agree with my fellow commenters. I've got five stars with this video's name on them.
i think in this world there are people who are dickheads and there are people who are ok. and this is universal. it transcends all social, cultural, and religious boundaries,

Bravo. The main reason I oppose many Creationists is because, simply put, they're not worshiping Christ--they're worshiping their belief in their own infallibility, and thus, never admit that it's even possible they've made an error.
Your video shows the difference between a sincere seeker after Christ's Truth and one who believes he already has all the answers. Thank you for that.
It takes a real stand up person to apologise and to admit when he or she is wrong.
Good for you SC.
It seems to have become very unfashionable to accept responsibility for one's own actions. You might be one of the last of us who are prepared to do that and be honest about it.
Ultimately if all Christians focused on what I believe to have been the spirit of Christ's message (tolerance and forgiveness) rather than the letter of the scripture and its accuracy with regards to things that are outside it's domain (maths, science, engineering, organic chemistry) the world would be a better place.
well, the difference between you and Andy "The QQQCQ" is vast... You seem to be looking for truth... Andy is ignorant by choice...

Not really my thing, either of those. Whats important is people who can be honest and, accountable. Thats why I like you, you're honest accountable, and on "the other" side. Its very intriguing. Great vid. For your ability to admit wrong you deserve redemption.
Honestly, you make me believe that christians aren't all bad. VFX was a DEFINATE exception to this rule, but you, on the other hand, don't judge people based on their religions.
Your a great person for not only apologizing and learning more, but also for taking this whole thing in stride :D I wish we could all be so honest and cool with each other. Keep up your awesome videos!
You know I didn't rate his video due to his Stonedcommander award. I didnt even know about your first award or your follow up video on the topic. I thought you were a great person before. But, you consistently show many of us that the right thing is not always easiest. To admit a flaw in oneself or in ones line of reason is one of the hardest things a person can do. TY
I (and I think other atheists) consider honesty as something of great value. Something very worthy. And not just for no reason, honest has real world practical positive value.
People need to read, Nesta Websters, "Secret Societies & Subversive Movements". I appreciate your thoughts & please consider this:
The most egregious of errors isn't simply when one is arrogant or condescending although this is a necessary if not sufficient condition
Arrogance must be coupled with massive ignorance. It is this combination that is especially annoying
So I hope we don't start placing harsh yet informed critiques in the same category of simply talking out of one's ass & being a douche while doing it

You've definitely got a great outlook on the whole thing. It takes a lot of positive traits to be able to apologize. Glad to have you around bud!

StonedCommander,
Your a great person for not only apologizing and learning more, but also for taking this whole thing in stride :D I wish we could all be so honest and cool with each other.

TY

Thank you for being such a good person. That really matters. And apologizing and recognizing a mistake isn't easy, that matters too.
Peace!

Good on Ya SC.
I (and I think other atheists) consider honesty as something of great value. Something very worthy. And not just for no reason, honest has real world practical positive value.
Good vid..
