@PianoLover3333 Thank you very much! The only tips I can give you for sightreading are: play through as much music as you can, from libraries etc., and also listen to lots of piano music. Often when you sightread you see a pattern which you then relate to something you have heard before.
@PSearPianist hmm.....i play a lot .. and i sight read a little but when i sightread ... i can's seem to keep my chin up for the sheet..:(..its hard to not see the keyboard of the piano
@PianoLover3333 It might help you to do some accompanying for a singer or instrumentalist. That will force you to look at the score, and maybe at them. The scope for looking at the keyboard when accompanying is limited!
@PSearPianist you have a point...but the I kinda suck if i accompany...T_T.. im practicing the 3rd movement of pathetique ryt now....by beethoven... and i dunno if i can finish it ... our recitals is on may 30...and im a bit cramming!! :))
@PianoLover3333 I wish you luck with the Pathetique. Listen to lots of recordings of other people playing it - here and elsewhere and I'm sure you will find that helpful. That's what I do myself when working on a new piece!
How lovely. Thank you. I was browsing for Durand and remembered to look for a Second Waltz! I wonder if this might go well on the theatre organ.
