@WhiteRAZOR if I am not wrong the V3 is just the same case but with an USB3 port and a motherboard tray cutout to install CPU coolers without all the hassle of removing the motherboard tray
@pitiflauticus ah neat... how to wonder why the different country versions differ :/ For example, the P180 I got in Australia didn't have the watercooling pipes holes at the back, the area behind the motherboard for cables, or the fan controls at the back :(
im still missing the option to manually REMOVE the honeycomb grills for lower noise and better air movement. being forced to cut it away using a plier is neither optimal or particularly fun...can't believe they still haven't made that an option. considering what they're charging for this case they really can't blame production cost either.
I'm gonna buy this chassi :-) Does anyone know which computer chassi fans that are the most quiet ones but still manage to cool good? I know noctuas are good... tips?
This is an awesome series, I have the previous p180 and p183, and these cases are cool(in more ways than one) and extremely quiet. Plan to get this on my next build, because i had to take out the middle drive to install a 5870 in my p183.
I have a P182 atm and I'm considering getting a new case because my GPX295 is overheating. Could anyone tell me if the GPU cooling on this case is significantly better than the P182, or I might as well stick with my old one?
no, your gtx295 shouldn't overheat in a case like that, either rma it, or reapply thermal paste if you're daring. word of warning though, this voids the warranty for some companies.
Yep, it's not very pretty. But, it's functional.... unless you have my cooler (the Noctua NH-U12P SE2). I'm not sure if the 200mm fan is removable, but I would have to remove it to fit my cooler. :_(
Does anyone have another other recommendation for a super-quiet case that can cool really hot systems?
Looks all good and well, except when you consider that they removed an entire layer (outer metal), and the fact that, like the p180, the damn thing will warp and peel apart like a mutated orange.
Thanks for replying. I like the look of this case a lot. I think Antec cases are great. I have an Antec Fusion media centre case. I have my current PC using it. Which looks great connected to my TV.
This is the Manufacturer Response:The maximum height for heat sink fans with the P193 is 140mm. The P193 is designed for great performance in mind. The 200mm ensures that the components will always receive ample cooling. P193 means you DONT need to use massive, expensive heat sinks to get maximum performance.
I think antec won't listen my complains but I'll try anyway. Firstable I should read the specs and see if the mention it because they must it.
For now I am assembling the whole PC so when I'll finish I'll try to contact antec and I'lsuggest them to bring me a side without the 200 mm fan as I've seen in other similar models.
In the meantime I'm going to leave the case semiopened, I mean, I can close the case usign the bottom screw. On the top there's 1cm aperture.
I've got a problem. I purchased this case 2 days ago with a thermalright ultra120 extreme and it doesn't fit. This heatsink is about 160mm so it blocks the possibility to lock properly the case because the 200mm fan is in it way.
I don't think lapping the heatsink solve this problem so I am a little bit stuck with it.
That is a big problem cause Major of the best cpu cooler are 160mm hight,i have noctua and fits p182,but I have planned to buy 193 in deceber or january so this will be also a problem for me.After you solve that thing tell me how. :) best luck
The only disadvantage this case have is problem with 160mm cpu heatsinks, but there is a NH-C12P.If you does not menage with thermalright ultra120,or there is some scythe coolers to.

I love how negative comments always get thumbs down. This case is a waste of money. You can get the CM HAF 932 for cheaper, which has better potential airflow, much better for water cooling, has better cable management, and is easier to work with due to tool free designs and the CPU retention hole. Antec needs to step up their case game, they're behind.
Yer. well i built mates rig with a haf and it was just too big and bulky.. i beleive this one has beter potential... well... think bout it.. take rivits off, paint black.. cut window in side.. volla..
you are absolutely right BORREDGUNNER i dont know why everyone clics on negative comment on your comment?? inconvinients of this case.. too much spending money on the case with just 4 small ventilators just , no place for big cpu cooler what is favorite thing for the real gamers.OC for the same money you can get Tagan el diablo advanced or how this guy said haf 932. or spanish Thermaltake Spedo advanced... This product is bad for the real gamers...
I also tried a poweerfull processor but Id recomend using water cooling for intense gaming. still is the quitest of all cases Ive seen so far. I used zalman reserator and is amazingly quiet. In the future more ppl will use water cooling instead of traditional fans.
And about the video - this is more like OVERVIEW, than a REVIEW. Cons? Much, much more than a hole in a plate, removable MB tray or black interior. Really. But to know that one must really TEST the case, not just make short video of it.
Just bought it, and after 2 weeks, I am really disappointed. You may say many things about this case, but it's NOT quiet and NOT cool. My PC is: i7-920 (no OC), P6T WS-Pro, HD4890, 6GB ram, 4x HDD. I'd say averge PC today, nothing too fancy. On Intel box cooling 92 Celsius in stress, no matter how I set fans speed in case. After changing for Noctua cooler 62 deg in stress, 46 idle. Side panels are very heavy, and difficult to close. Overall it's not too bad, but needs much improvement.
im up thumbing up your comment really but im thinking mayb he onyl picks the "kickass" products ut it also depends what he means by kick ass ah well i agre to your comment you shouldnt be down thumbed

'a hole on the motherboard tray for the coolers retention plate'-- does that mean you have to drill your own holes in order for you to have a cooler installed?
agreed. i wish my p183 had better airflow so I wouldnt have to run the fans n high all the time. antec makes great products, its just 50% them look fugly.
Thanks for posting this review! I got the p193..amazing case. Very quiet on the medium fan setting and large enough to where I think I'll be keeping this case for a long long time.
I have the 1200 and its pain in the a## in removing the dust filters, you have to open everything and remove all the screws. I hate it when its time to clean the dust filters!!!
lmao i could swear he has changed the way he speaks after i posted my review on the Cooler Master Storm Scout review. (i did it for a school assignment and i talked like him to mimic him) lol anyway great review. i cant wait for the review on the haf 922.
Unfortunately, that's not that common. It just seems like it wouldn't have taken much on Antec's part to put some extra holes for the 120mm fans but I guess you can always mod it.
Quiet, I coudn't hear it on low and could just hear it on the two other settings, maybe not a gaming reg with over clocking but this case would make a nice soft gamer or a media computer.
Thanks a again for the new video, keep up the great work.
I wholeheartedly agree. It kind of seems like most new cases these days look like crap. Why couldn't Antec just have stuck with their old P180 design? I've been meaning to find a replacement case for my Antec Nine Hundred, but I find it hard to find a new case that has better and more features AND looks just as good. The only case that seems to have both of those qualities is the HAF 922, which looks amazing.
Can I put the EVGA SR2 in this thing?

Near silent? Sounds to be one of the louder ones you've reviewed.
I like the design of the case though.

Ugh, IMO Antec is screwing with already great cases. Ugly side panel and two fans at the top?
They need to make more variety.

that big thing sticking out the side panel looks ugly.
The rest of the case is good though

Antec woulda been smarter to put the option for two 120mm fans in the top so you could also mount a radiator for watercooling.
doomtomb3 2 years ago
you could use a 2x140 rad?
zoop425 2 years ago
Unfortunately, that's not that common. It just seems like it wouldn't have taken much on Antec's part to put some extra holes for the 120mm fans but I guess you can always mod it.

Although I think the P182 looks better
DavidsTechShow101 2 years ago
I was so pissed just bought the P182 then like a week later the P183s came out
DavidsTechShow101 2 years ago
Quiet, I coudn't hear it on low and could just hear it on the two other settings, maybe not a gaming reg with over clocking but this case would make a nice soft gamer or a media computer.
Thanks a again for the new video, keep up the great work.

thank god you agree with me lol its so ugly
jacobmccravy 2 years ago
lol yup, that is the ugliest case I have ever seen. It has absolutely no aesthetic value whatsoever.
wtf was the design team smoking?
Bored00m 2 years ago
I wholeheartedly agree. It kind of seems like most new cases these days look like crap. Why couldn't Antec just have stuck with their old P180 design? I've been meaning to find a replacement case for my Antec Nine Hundred, but I find it hard to find a new case that has better and more features AND looks just as good. The only case that seems to have both of those qualities is the HAF 922, which looks amazing.

check out the cooler master sniper case. I think it is really well designed and looks awesome.
although it is one of those cases that you will either love or hate to death. lol
