Quick chemistry lesson for youguys that don't know what the FUCK you're talking about. Diesel exhaust is cleaner than petrol exhaust! Soot is also cleaner than petrol exhaust, although it doesn't look like it! Diesel is an organic material, along with oil and gas because they all have CARBON in their chemical formulas and they WILL biodegrade and turn back into organic matter, just like a leaf from a tree. Soot does cause cancer though.

Quick chemistry lesson for youguys that don't know what the FUCK you're talking about. Diesel exhaust is cleaner than petrol exhaust! Soot is also cleaner than petrol exhaust, although it doesn't look like it! Diesel is an organic material, along with oil and gas because they all have CARBON in their chemical formulas and they WILL biodegrade and turn back into organic matter, just like a leaf from a tree. Soot does cause cancer though.

For all the dipshits! This is a Cummins just listen to it. And I work for International/navistar and they do not manufacture powerstrokes anymore. And it has solved us alot of headaches. 7.3 was the best we made. If you want unsurpassed power go with Caterpillar or Cummins. Sweet conv.

@GusCowMiller Thanks for stating the obvious that Dodge has a contract with cummins. I know for a fact you can get a cummins in the f650/750; so much for that 'only' clause in your statement. Cummins is better than the stroke or max hands down, but dodge trucks are huge pieces of shit. I like their looks (04 up), but they are built like complete shit boxes. Cummins is still the only redeeming quality about a dodge truck. Sorry facts hurt your vagina's feelings.

@CockYaLegS F-650s and 750s aren't in the same truck category as the regular pickups, big guy, since Dodge doesn't make a vehicle that big (doesn't need to), Cummins had to sign it with Ford, which totally destroyed it's reputation imo. I don't know where you get all these biased facts about which brand of truck makes the best body but it sure sounds like you've been fed a few lines of bullshit. I'll agree on the 06-09 Dodge pickups having bad quality, but the trucks before it were flawless.

Interior falls apart. Dash cracks; interior falling apart. Body panels that rust out if they are so much as pissed on. @2010DodgeRam1500Hemi well that soot is carbon and yes it does fall down on to the ground on the grass, plants whatever its around but did you know grass and plants actually like carbon they absorb it and let it out their waste gates which gives us 02 or oxygen and as you know well we need that to survive and grass and plants are some main sources that give us oxygen so that soot really isnt doing to much harm. your gasoline engine is what does some real harm.

Plus, if you compare her PT to mercedes' bluetec diesel or Fords new focus (provided only in Europe, which really pisses me off, stupid California!), it will look like a 1975 460 pick up truck next to a new civic....diesels ftw, unless you need top end speed... ;-)

The soot doesn't damage the O-Zone is what I was saying, plus it takes a SHITTTTT TOOONNN of diesels to even make a small heap of soot on the ground to be broken down quickly into basic elements....The emissions only hurt us really...they decrease MPG resulting in more CO2 being emitted anyways. Just because cars have a ton of emissions stuff doesn't mean the pollute any less. C'mon it's REALLY basic

@2010DodgeRam1500Hemi then how come blutech diesels were rated to be the CLEANEST ENGINE IN THE WORLD as of recent? old school diesels didnt take care of the environment, and many industrial sized diesels on construction equipment and stuff, but as far as daily driver pickup trucks and cars go, diesels have gotten cleaner in the last 5-7 years than any gas engine shy of a hybrid. not only through changes to the vehicles, but also the fuel itself, lower sulfer content etc. research it.
