Actually, the more I listen to those guys the more I like them. If they go the same direction as they do right now and constantly improve their sound they are going to be big. And not because just being popular amongst teenagers who don;t know what really good music is like many other screamo bands, but because this band has a really good and distinctive sound. I really like them.
I can see how people can no like this, since this resemblance black veil brides or other generic screamo metalcore. Personally I am not a fan of such style but, judging by this song, this band is really creative and has a very good sound. Definitely above your average screamo metal. Strongly recommend for people who re into this kind of metal genre

This album was never as good as Darkness prevails, but it definetlely is not scene. Not yet anyway, they might follow suit with Architects and fuck over to the dark side, but you never know ;).

I am dissapointed they released this song, there are much better ones on the album, but i suppose its hard to shorten any of the others to a length a music video could actually allow, either way, to all the people who hate on them, try listening to the OLD stuff, nothing against B&C, but the last album was much better. Their originality really did shine on that video, and i have been a fan since "like its your last" first got released.
Seriously, 1. I don't know a lot of bands that sound like them, 2. This is a genre apart, maybe because they're hard to put in a box, they get the wrong attention. I like them, maybe you have to give them more than 1 listen, the more I listen to their songs, the more I start to like them :)

I don't normally do this but having seen the amount of hate this is getting I have to make my "opinion" (if some of you have ever heard of that) be known. DSHS are about as far away from scene as you can possibly get in this genre. To liken them to scene kid bands actually makes me question poples perception of good "metal" music at all. If you want to classify them, fine, but don't even think about denying they bring something brand new to this genre of music. It genuinely is fucking brilliant.
I can make up bullshit genres too. Tthere's are a few hundred bands listed under this classification. They all sound identical. To be fair, I went and listened to some of them. Holding onto Hope, A Hope for Home, Harp and Lyre (amusing because neither of those instruments are present), and EmergentSea, and I am the Ocean, are nearly indistinguishable on every level. They even LOOK alike.
Just listened to the album version again & it just slays this edited version which cuts out nearly 3 minutes!.still an awesome song though. Keep up the good work DSHS.

Listen to either album by DSHS in its entirety (thats the whole album for you dumb trolls), and I doubt very much you'll be hating this band any more. Inspirational music.

@shredder1390 Well when I saw them I thought the crowd was singing but gang chants and backing vocals were triggered by the sample player. I think he fucks about on a Kaoss Pad as well xD

I don't normally do this but having seen the amount of hate this is getting I have to make my "opinion" (if some of you have ever heard of that) be known. DSHS are about as far away from scene as you can possibly get in this genre. To liken them to scene kid bands actually makes me question poples perception of good "metal" music at all. If you want to classify them, fine, but don't even think about denying they bring something brand new to this genre of music. It genuinely is fucking brilliant.

I can make up bullshit genres too. Tthere's are a few hundred bands listed under this classification. They all sound identical. To be fair, I went and listened to some of them. Holding onto Hope, A Hope for Home, Harp and Lyre (amusing because neither of those instruments are present), and EmergentSea, and I am the Ocean, are nearly indistinguishable on every level. They even LOOK alike.
Mass production at it's best.

Just listened to the album version again & it just slays this edited version which cuts out nearly 3 minutes!.still an awesome song though. Keep up the good work DSHS.
