Yes, I qued overnight for tix to this concert at National Ballroom as well. Tix were on sale at the Dominion Theatre on a Sun morning (where "we will rock you" is now showing). Was a good atmosphere in the que, many people playing rare Bowie bootlegs on portable 'cassette machines'
was there too, i remember a couple of folks played new album by ....Stone Roses all night, it had just come out. Then in the morning folks tried to jump in the front and that nearly caused a riot with the people who were there all night. Great gig.
This song is the best example how near Tin Machine is to the foolowing Bowie.... this song was written 89 - and is on the introsong on the Outsinde Album... Rare or not
WOW What a fantastic find. Kilburn national ballroom. I remember queing 2 days for tickets from some theatre in London. Great gig, stood next to Fergal Sharkey for the whole gig. Thanks for the memory.
For once this statement is true "VERY RARE"....It gets my goat when people write rare and it's not...Great one Matt, cheers for posting and sharing with us all...x....
This is utterly astonishing! I knew this song started from the 1988 Look back in anger remake but this is much better than the existing audio boot of another version of this. Thanks so much for sharing it!
i took my son to see the second TM tour ,he loved it especially hunt sales drumming, i manged to get him a pair of hunts signature drumsticks he still has them , that year he wanted drums for xmas , and he's still play them in his band :)
hey piggystardust, i was at Newport too!!! I was the young lad at the front of the que who qued four days for tckets!! Did we meet? what a show it was too
hey matt yes we did meet ,,,i remember talking to you and your dad :) wow great to see you again :)..hey you was famous your pictures in the news paper and tv news lol,,on the night of thr gig bowie walked right pass me outside on his way in .. i should have grabbed him lol

no wonder there are samples from "baby universal" in "halo spaceboy". This really makes "outside" sound very "Tin-Machine-sh"
neostriderbzk 1 year ago
@neostriderbzk in a way outside is like a graze of heavy metal (hard rock(tin machine) and the dark stuff)

Very cool it has the intro sound they used when they updated "look Back In Anger: and of course the great intro to the cd "Outside".. Excellent!

Great find. Also is definitely very rare. If you have it on dvd then it is definitely unofficial.

The only reason people did not like Tin Machine was because it was all original material, How Bizare was that!
