shouldn't be surprised you guys don't know but you're really young. Animators worked SO hard in the 1930s, 40, 50s,(60s) If anyone had those jobs today they would be accused of obsessive/compulsive disorder. Since i was a kid in the 1960s have seen the shortcuts and r.e.d.u.n.d.a.n.c.e.y animators used in the 90s onward. If you want to be an educated critic look for dimentionality, action smoothness and fluidity and how music is spot on with the action. Watch a documentary on early cartoons.

I was born in the early 90s, and I know for a fact that the Cartoons from yesteryear were a production closely mimicking the amount of effort a feature length film would have endured. Tom and Jerry for example is one of the finest; animation, story telling, comedy, and musical score all come together perfectly to portray something the likes has not been seen in many decades. I still laugh when I catch them on TV and think, "We will never see this amount of time, money or effort again on TV".
