  • @EvoPower2010 i dunno where your getting your sources from but your wrong about the price of the S4, the RS4 which is the STi of the S4, is only $45,000, the brand new A8, 2011 model, is about $58,000

  • you notice that the s4 is heavier, more luxurious, has the best AWD system on the planet and a frame designed from over 100 years of car building and its built by scientists in general. compared to a few cars that are actually derived from generator motors. audi all day, i have an S8 and i wouldent trade it for the world

  • @ashermerkabah yeah the shits nasty, if you trade that in you should just get the B5, the B5 is a great car for low money and with the sport package the AWD is 50/50 balanced so cornering is rediculous. someone down in the comments was laughing that the V8 S4 couldent beat a mitsu but theyre compairing 2 completly different animals, put the B5 against it and the evo is done 9 times out of 10

  • @audis8rob Yeah and in the end you're tuning a 6 cylinder vs a 4 cylinder, displacement definitely matters. I'm not going to even go into the fact that you're getting a much nicer build quality when you go with the Audi. I'm actually leaning towards the B5 as well just because it seems to have a lot of aftermarket support. They're all great cars but after going from Japanese sedans to German sedans I haven't looked back.

  • @ashermerkabah the B5 S4 has alot of aftermarket parts available and theyres alot of them in junk yards that you can scrap good parts off of. theyre extremly fast for the money and customization is actually fairly cheap. the drivetrain on them is fucking bulletproof so all that torque is perfectly planted.

  • @Sasori327 to bad theyre not using comparable cars, because if it was the B5 S4 it has 70 more hp then both of them and would have toasted them both, theyre comparing 2 TTV6s against a heavier V8 that obviously isent as fast off the line considering the power to weight ratio, maybe you should learn your cars

  • @audis8rob hahaha, so funny. well youre the one who should learn youre cars! the evo and impreza arent V6s and they are not twinturbo. they are 2L 4 cylinder single turbos. and the evo has up to 400hp, and the audi couldnt catch it even with its V8.

  • @Sasori327 haha so funny because your compairing the 180HP rally art obviously and obviously not taking a look at the b 2.25 subaru. they are both V6 twin turbos, genius. like i said your compairing a heavier car with a heavier motor plus 2 extra cylenders. you compair the b5 which is a 2.7 V6 with twin turbos to any of this and the audi wins all day every day hands down

  • Lets not forget that in order to maintain and Audi you have to have a relatively high income. Parts and labor for AUDI is ridiculously expensive compared to a Mtisu or Subie. AUDI and VW also have electrical problems and they nickel and dime. Ive owned 2 VW so I know this to be true. Could i have had lemons? Possibly. But...like previously said...the Audi does have 4 more cylinders lol.

  • @STIPanda audis are more serious cars, um the old audis have them but they fixed that with fsi package. Audis are not stiff, and there luxury cars so there heavier, also quattro is the best and i own an audi and to maintain isnt a problem because it doesnt even break down, i dont drive slow either lol

  • @ElGoochi gosh your stupid, im a audi owner, to get to 300k isnt a problem. Also im sure audi knows what there doing because they own high class car companies, like lambos , Bentleys, Bugattis. Oh and i hate how ppl say that maintenance isnt cheap, well its about time where you dont show up at the dealers because all of the dealers rip you off. They charge something thats worth half even more.

And on the subject of longevity, the audi has a honking great v8, that engine will outlast the human race, but its built for a big cruiser not a dedicated sport saloon its simple as that.

  • Nothing to do with how they're made, just due to the differing power outputs and the weight. Audi is a heavy car and is running 344bhp and weights over 2 tonnes. Not sure which version of the FQ Misu that was, but its mostly likely the 360, which is obviously more power, plus it weighs about 1.8t.

  • I don't know why you say those cars weigh those figures! The Audi is reasonably heavy at 1660kg but no where near two tonnes and the Evo 8 is 1320-1410kg (figures from Wikipedia).

    I also don't know why you think that's the 360hp version because Clarkson doesn't say it is. Again, Wikipedia lists this episode with just an Evo 8 - no FQ360, FQ400 etc.

    You should check your facts before you try to correct people.
