@JamesCPotter13 a lot of it is when you demorf (in acting) you leave the set change back into your normal clothes and go back to the set. The directors then attempt to put you in the exact same place as you were before. If that doesnt work they make you pant like youve just run a marathon so it looks more realistic

What happened was the morphers and original power coins were stripped of pretty much all their power when Rito destroyed the Thunder Megazord and Tigerzord back in Season 3, which led to them finding Ninjor and getting the ninja power coins. The original power coins still existed, but since they were damaged and still linked to the morphing grid, use of them could have proved fatal, like here, Adam knew the risks of using the power coin.

i think the reason why Mighty Morphin - Space was so legendary was because Zordon was still relevant to the plot. Not saying anything after Space is bad but it just doesnt have that long lasting storyline. They brought back Adam, Gold Ranger, Centurion from Turbo, and past head villains. Something for both the new kids watching and fans from the beginning. Just a thought.
@ttz4m3 I wouldn't be surprised. The morpher isn't safe to use with a broken power coin. It was a mix of pain from an unstable morph and him getting his life force drained.

Adam in space as we are watching his was broken as the story is from hogday/zeo. oar as far as we know sentinel knight only fixed adams morpher. To clear everything up that i read from lasts posts, Adam as well as Kimberly and rocky and the second yellow ranger and billy can still morph using their Dino powers. The zords may have been destroyed but their powers were damage. their ninja coins were only destroyed not their Dino coins. As for Jason he and trini and Zack had always had their powers also because they left morphed. the dino coin we see here is what had happen to his coin when the zords were destroyed in session 2.

@connormalone I know that but it was lead to believe in many posts that rocky and Aisha and adam got duplicate morphers because the other 3 were still morphed when they left, yes it was their last mission as rangers but they still had the power to transform. If you notice that Jason morph is still the same and he has his morpher. I guess at that time the writers did not notice that jason and the other 2 still had access to their powers. I like many other power rangers fans agree its true.
@URey123 Okay the part that really gets me then is when Adam again comes back during Operation Overdrive's "Once a Ranger" Storyline his morpher and the power coin are completely fixed the powers restored part is fine since the Overdrive commander said that he was able to restore their powers on the grid... but how did the power coin get fixed?..... Sorry... I just think about logistics too much... I do still love power rangers.

@connormalone In the Once a ranger always a ranger episode the Sentinel Knight had the ability to reconnect those rangers back to the morphing grid without damaging them. Usually like in Adam's case the power source was destroyed but he could still morph to the morphing grid. Just in this video it need a power source which was Adam's own life force and not the power coin.
This scene was not only to save Carlos but to show sometimes being a ranger is risk each time they morph also.

@egdeltur666 I actually think that what happened to (talking about Zordon's death). My other theory about Jason is that he never gave up his power coin. His Power Coin was copied to Rocky. So in a way Jason still have his coin stored somewhere when the time is needed (i.e. Forever Red)

Notice how when the new rangers got there power, Jason, Trini, and Zack are still in their rangers costume. When Jason return in Forever Red, his power morpher is still intact along with his original Tyranno Dinozord power coin.
@voltairex9999 The Black Ninja coin was destroyed, and Carlos had (and then lost) the green Turbo powers. Apparently a scene cut from the Turbo movie explained the Turbo powers were accelerated Zeo powers so by losing the Turbo powers in "Chase into Space", the Zeo Powers went as well.
Thus leaving Adam with just his Mastodon morpher...
@MiChaosUk There's several scenes supposedly cut. They even said the Turbo powers was created by Billy which explained his absences in Zeo when they originally thought he was the Gold Ranger. But since David Yost left on bad terms that was dropped and no proper explanation was ever given. Billy makes the most sense. Especially since Tommy has Zeo powers at the same time TJ does in Forever Red (which can be explained by Lighting Cruiser having a spare morpher like Storm Blaster had for Justin).

But the Original Mighty Morphin powers were never lost on screen, the zords were almost completely destroyed but were then made into the thunder zords, when those were lost they need the ninja zords (and powers). @ragethegreat The Morphing grid was shown to NOT be linked to only Zordon many a time. Zed confirmed that as long as there is the struggle between good and evil then the morphing grid is ALWAYS active. You just need a way to access it to become a Power Ranger.

@ThuqqNaStY2k11 The Ninja Coins were Destroyed. But the Original Mighty Morphin powers were never lost on screen, the zords were almost completely destroyed but were then made into the thunder zords, when those were lost they need the ninja zords (and powers). Mostly likely they were damaged heavily and stopped being used since they had the ninja powers until they were destroyed.

Although many of us think that Adam should've morphed into his Zeo green scheme, they most likely did this to show Carlos the pride of a TRUE power ranger and even more so the pride of a TRUDE black power ranger. Using a morpher that could destroy him shows his courage to fight even if he does die. Also, who knows. maybe the black ranger was Adam's personal favorite off-screen. Lol.

@ayumunarumi15 The Mastodon coin was overloaded after Rito's initial attack in "Ninja Quest Part 1", the attack that also destroyed the Thunderzords. Therefore in order to maintain energy it had to tap into Adam's physical energy to maintain the morph.

The "Dino" power coins in MMPR were never destroyed the zords were and the coins were damaged the "ninjar" coins were destroyed by goldar during the alien rangers arc. so adam saying 'mastadon' makes sense as it was the original power that still exists and is later fully restored by the sentinal knight in PROO

Billy will never make a return appearance as apparently the actor, David Yost, hates being linked with the role of the first Blue Ranger.
