new donors pay nothing towards a chosen third party because the campaign is pre paid. if you think that charities should set up thier own call centres or their own street fundraising groups then i suggest you put that to the charities.who have already thought this through and have approached a third party.
There is a level of transparency with regard to the amounts charities have to pay, and the investment they seek over 4 or so years.
But what is a massive issue is that street fundraising is a very shallow form of fundraising. It pressures people into signing up on a whim, and a decision they have not thought through. Proffesional fundraisers are essential to charities now, just take them off the streets.
@definitionofpleb there is virtually no transparency with regards to the amount that donars pay that goes towards the third parties ie chuggers and their leaching agencies and how much goes to the charity. When they sign up they are not told this. The PFRA which is their Trade Association under the guise of a 'regulator' does not require this information to be passed to the donar, only the fact that they are paid. This industry is very shady & should be banned immediately to protect the public
i've seen politions aviod questions but this is rediculaous. What a lier. Chugging is what it is, charity mugging and it should be banned. I will never give any money to a national charity ever again. I don't trust them
' Charities tell us that for every £1 they spend on face-to-face fundraisers they get £3 or £4 back.' Since there are not sufficient numbers of people prepared to volunteer as fundraisers, or to donate of their own accord in the same numbers as are persuaded to by professional face-to-face fundraisers, this is money which charities simply would not otherwise receive. There is clearly no case for 'getting rid of chuggers' without firstly ensuring that charities' incomes are maintained.
I personally dont see the problem with proffesional charity collectors, its part of the problem with charities that they rely too much on the good nature of volunteers, when maybe a more professional approach to charity is what is needed.
Lol its just becoming beyond a joke now. Support your British farms which are using cloned beef. Support the flooding in Pakistan and give a percentage of the money you gave to some big business. Get involved with politics and find out most of the stuff is regualted and created in Brussels. Support your local schools which are producing illeterate children. Help the police and find out that criminals are getting reduced sentences. Is there anything not tainted with shitness?!?
also i suggest you dont repeat bollocks like a parrot

what a crock. This is why you always ask what % of your donation goes to the actual charity work.
