If Square Enix remade this, it would probably be for psp or ps3, seeing as FF7 was a release for Sony systems.

@ElecShock01 Sony doesn't own the rights to FFVII. if they wanted too, SE could put it on a Nintendo system. plus, the 3DS makes more sense because it has a built in camera, and one of the gameplay features was taking photographs to generate Materia.

I am aware of that, that Square owns the rights to Final Fantasy, but 3DS come on, 3DS was just Nintendo's way of saying you're screwed over. Also, are you aware that PSP games can have cameras, take for example Invisimals or Eye Pet Psp version. I'm hoping Square doesn't put it onto 3DS because then I would have to either buy or rent a 3DS and the game lols. But it does make more sense for a Sony system, because the VII series was released originally on PS.

@kokulink There are several connections, but it's a largely optional game. As far as buying it goes, good luck. I think it's still only available in Japan.

Dirge of Cerberus can HARDLY be considered Final fantasy for the simple fact that it was a shooter (and not even a good one might i add) that just told a side story. if anything it can only be considered an In-Depth side-quest. There can be no Final Fantasy 7 without being able to woop up on Sephiroths ass. and there can be no final fantasy period that's not RPG. as the saying goes. if its not broken DON'T fix it.

And I agree, they should make a non-cellphone version of this, DS or anything. My cellphone has a short battery life, I use it solely for calling and texting, maybe a few pictures, but games just drain all the battery. Maybe I just have a sucky phone. I dunno, mobiles just don't seem like a very good platform for RPGs to me.
