I love this game i downloaded it onto my computer using snes9x. Very good game i just wish the creator of this game would make a lot more like it. I played children of mana it was OK but nothing compared to this. :p

As a fan of Secret of Mana and Secret of Evermore, I definitely have to play this game. That first track is just stunning.

I see a lot of people are debating why it wasn't released in the us, myself I am from Europe, I heard ONE of the reasons it wasn't released is that square was banking on 'Secret of Evermore' to work better here then Secret of Mana 3.

Anyway that's just what I've heard, don't know about hardcore facts though...

i actually tried carly and found out shes wicked powerful as a necromancer i think, she has a curse that weakens EVERYTHING about a single target, works on BOSSES though! EPIC! But i almost always have kevin and hawk too.

Legend of the Holy Sword is what Seiken Densetsu translates into. Shame this game was still never released officially in America.

Well, and please don't flame for this, but Square did have their reasons for not releasing it America back it was made, which did not include them being jerks. It would take a lot of work to translate this game, and the SNES was entering its twilight so it was possible that would end up not selling well and then they would have wasted money on it. Also, Square and Nintendo were having issues at the time.

I know. What the hell is wrong with Square? I was always hoping they'd release it here on PSX, but they never did. Thank God someone from my Starcraft clan introduced me to this incredible game back in 2001. Anyway, I don't see why they couldn't put this on VC. All they'd have to do is pay the fan-translator and make it downloadable. I'm sure many people would ignore it though since Chrono Trigger is the only non FF or Dragon Quest title that seems to be popular.

But in SD2 the Lvl-Weapon-up is much better,the same for the Magic...

But in SD3 the Class-Changes are so cool!

@AlucardsQuest i think that it feels more authentic on snes with an actual cartridge. Because if they do release it it would probably be an download title and not physichal game. Pretty much the same if you use a rom and play it on your computer.

@f8j3jn The SNES is 20 years old. It was a great system (and still is) but it's kind of pointless to have one nowadays just for one sporadic game that I missed. However much as I hate Square's guts right now, I'd happily support a re-release of the game. Square it too litigious for me to try anything else otherwise.

@DeimosFacility not made in to rom lol XD Rom is in every cartrige and it holds game data, this is why dumped data from them are also called "rom", but really should be called "rom image file". Data on those files are not modified and don't have any extra data, it's exact 1:1 copy of contents of rom inside of cartrige. Traslators taken rom image file of original game and modify it.

Boss music in this game is awesome. I think there are atleast 5 of them, or even more.

Still, probably the best Seiken Densetsu game ever. Damn good it is.

@Woodland312 hmm, i have to disagree with that. The best seiken densetsu game is Secret of Mana. Though This a BRILLIANT game. 6 different characters (six different storys, that is) 3 different final bosses. And not to forget that the hardest boss in of any square is encountered in seiken densetsu 3 as the black rabite. Also, the music is heavenly and the game realy pulls you in..
