I am also reminded of an episode of Boris Karloff's "Thriller" called "The Incredible Doctor Markesan" (look it up!). Karloff himself plays a mad recluse who digs up three old long-dead college board professors who wronged him in the past, and artificially brings them back to life, and they act and sound very much like this.
