Actually Evelyn Maersk is a sister ship to the Emma Maersk, along with Eleonora Maersk and Estelle Maersk. So they are both the biggest. :)

There are also EUGEN MAERSK, EBBA MAERSKY, ELLY MAERSK, EDITH MAERSK.

There are 8 vessels in "E - Class" with 11000 TEU. Each of them.

@varjag 11000??? NO way 25350 TEU according to shipyard specs, but Maersk count differently cos they take weight of teu in consideration.... i load/discharge these ships and there are many more than 11000 teu on board a E class maersk.......  Rotterdam Ruleszzzzzz

Maersk Line SUCKS man only buy up LINES to grow BIG at LEAST MSC has the integrity to grow from within and their capability. MAERSK bought over P&O Nedlloyd and could not sustain. retrench P&O Nedlloyd staffs and now early this year 2008 April another RETRENCHMENT "STREAMLINE" (MSK sure has a theme or catch phrase for excercise they do) where more P&O staffs leave. THE FUTURE, Western Ops Center will close down soon and more staffs axed and move to Eastern Ops Center (now on 24hr shift work). HA

Not comparing MSK to P&O, because MSK is way too BIG for themselves.Lastest rumour on MSK. after closing WOC and shifting to EOC to do GLOBAL PLANNING.EOC in SIN will closed down and shift to CHINA i.e. means cutting of staffs from EU and SIN.If this april streamline is not working, within 4 years MSK will be sold.Year 2009 there will be ANOTHER STREAMLINE.tell me whether MSK SUCKS OR NOT.Lastly a Danish planner was FIRED and sent packing back to COPENHAGEN is still in MSK and promoted too!

Just to make shure, Mærsk Lines (or Maersk as u non-danes call it) are the biggest shipping company IN THE WORLD...
