  • Yeah I dont no where all the complaints are coming from this thing looks pretty sweet...The features and the price..

  • Pause at 3:18, he's like "YEAH I NAILED THIS BABY, IM SO GOOD" lol

  • Rip off.

  • Now, how am I going to launder $2000 so my wife doesn't know how much I spent on my new 716 Precision Marksman? Maybe I can find some stuff around the house to sell...

  • Sig is shipping out pallet full of 716 to dealers now. Seen it on their Facebook.

  • so rehearsed...he probably spent the last week or so, memorizing this.

  • SBRs!!!man, i wish they weren't so hard to get.

  • any word on when th 716 is suppost to be on the market? i got the 516 already and would love to get that .308

  • I love that rifle. Great for fun, and short range encounter. But I wouldn't have it replace the 308 behind it.

  • Will this eventually come out in a 14" inch barrel and/or other barrel lengths? thanks, weapon looks brilliant.

  • @moronsgetout ....i didn't watch the whole video....i feel sheepish. hahaha again great weapon, can't wait to get one.

  • New Hampshire Represent!

  • Where are the "SIG" red do optics made??? China POS optics. WTF SIG. You cannot expect to charge SIG prices for Chinese Garbage. If you are going to include optics, make sure they are of the highest quality. Get with the program or be left in the dust.

  • @wethepeople2013

If they used swiss parts and swiss prices than most of you morons would be whining about how expensive they are and other such bullshit. Get a clue junk the oem sight and get one that you like geez is it that hard?! Freaking youtube..

  • why the fuck would they rocknroll a 308 on an AR plateform that would be a freakin monster

  • @coolrunner4095 cuz they can.

  • I <3 Sig

  • Your sig 556 was your first AR-15

  • @Pivo000 not really, the 556 is more of an AK design, not AR.

  • Yo Sig make the 550 in the U.S. No one else can make it like you. Every one make an AR.

  • stabilizing fins on a bolt??! Huh?

  • if its piston driven,

    ill be impressed.

ive been waiting for a move

like this out of sig sauer.

  • pretty sure im buying the 516 next month

  • 1 piece bolt + piston = HEAVEN

  • I like how the 308 version looks like a 5.56, other brands of 308's look huge and heavy.

  • @vucicevic grow up...

  • @BlackbeardArghh you are called blackbeardarghh and you are telling me to grow up...............:D

  • Wonder how they did on the water and dirt tests. And if they make a model chambered for the 6.8

  • @norcaltke857 if worked great in the torture test and no they dont have one in 6.8 yet

  • I like Sig Sauer pistols better than H&K, so I dont see why the AR15's would be any different!!!!!

  • The Sig 716 with that Magpul PRS stock in tan. . . damn, that's nice.

  • @Moosezorz oh yeah...i wanna put my hands on it! then i would cycle some rounds trough it on 100, 300 and 500 meters...and then i wouldnt give it back^^

  • @dimgl19 I don't think anyone would want to give that thing back.

  • I'm digging the 516 SBR. The fact that it's a Sig is just a plus. lol.

  • when will the 716 be released for civilians and whats the msrp?

  • @ugcsred2011 Yes, it will be released on the civilian market. No clue about the MSRP, but I'd venture a guess it would only be a few hundred more than the 516. The 516 just officially hit the market for civilians a few months ago and it already got recalled once because it was shooting fully automatic randomly (who would want to send it back, right? lol), so it goes to show the 516 wasn't even fully hammered out, let alone the 716.

Both of these will be more available and affordable in 2011.

  • When this gun comes out, im gettn one. Sig has a great reputation and the MSRP is a very fair price considering what you are getting.

  • Take a breath man!

  • o thank god someone else posted this, so i dont have to watch nutnfaggy

  • good SIG Sauer. thanks!

  • Wish they wouldn't see "on the street". Makes it sound like a gangster special.

  • This guy keeps losing his breath...

  • @retardno002 Camera Shy of someone's out to get him..

  • I was going to buy an HK but ill stick to the Sig!!! Great accuracy great barrel, great reliability and awesome price!!!

I rather buy 2 Sigs that just one HK ! Dont get me wrong both are great rifles but HK is not superior to Sig if you know abourtAR's just check the materials and try to justify HK price over the Sig! i hope Sig makes a 6.8 version cause that whould make me happy!!!

  • I got the impression he was real excited about something

  • This guy could talk your head off!!!!!!!!!!

  • Well, he's a salesman.

  • cool

  • You're full of shit. Please go away.

  • M-O-N-E-Y

  • NEED 516

  • SIG makes good stuff..

  • Think twice about buying a SIG 516 until they fix their terrible QA issues in manufacturing. You're better off with a reputable AR from companies like CMMG, COLT, or LMT.

  • 2:45 - Snaps yo, we'z gots ambi mag pops son!

  • i do like the ambi controls being standard

  • Looks like and LWRCI bolt carrier... hmmm, the SIG AR's look okay but far from being on par with LWRCI quality. I would be prepared to pay the premium for the better rifle. I used to be a SIG fanboy until SIG started going south on the P-series handguns and as a SG552 owner I wish SIG quality was what it used to be. Maybe Armorer's like Felix N. made that happen back then, but alas...

  • (Pt2) The 7.62's look interesting, we'll see what pricing looks like, but I expect it to be a bit lower tan premium offerings on the market.

  • tan = than

  • looks like everyone is trying to catch up to LWRC

  • @jimbo45cal about time cause LWRC are hard to get a hold of

  • @cwjolly69 How so? You can order direct or through a Dealer...

  • @GhostriderRSA y would i want to do that i dont want to waist my money

  • Why would you do what? I'm not following you.

  • @GhostriderRSA LWRC guns r to much money so it is about time sig is makeing ar15s

  • Ah, I see. I'm not knocking SIG for making AR's, I just think these have been thrown together moreso than developed to the degree of an HK orLWRCI, both of which are the better of all AR short-stroke piston rifles on the market. If you want to purhase a SIG AR - great, but I'll stick with my LWRCI's for good reason. No reason for me to chance to a "cheaper" platform that don't meet my quality requirements. I do not consider that a wasteof money, but rather a product / life investment.

  • how can you sit there and say the sig isnt as well developed as the hk or lwrc. i dont see either of them with ambidextrious mag catch or safety selector. and so what the sigs expected msrp is 1300 comparied to hk&lwrc being 2300+. in say good for sig not trying to rape its customers wallets. and how do you know both are better then the sig have you shot the sig 516 no cuz it hasnt even been out yet. your just trying to justify in your own head your $2300+ purchase.

  • Um, let's see - the SIG isn't all made in house or by their own design, but rather from parts from other manufacturers. The BCG is a copy of the LWRCI and QC issues abound when it comes to today's SIG Sauer Quality. What they should have done was locally produce the SIG 552/551 SWAT and stick with the Swiss combat proven weapon everyone wanted in the first place. I don't need to justify my purchase of an LWRCI. *s* As for development, how many Top Tier Mil/LE units use SIG ARs right now? None.

  • none cuz it has not even come out yet. how many use issue lwrc or hk 416. and because of law 922r it cant all be made in house. sig is a germany compainy like hk. they both comtract U.S. compainies to make certain parts to be compliant in order to sell there weapons in the U.S. and i think after the importation ban clinton did the original sig swiss gun isnt aloud to be imported into the country hence they made the 556 to fill the gap in US sales.

  • What part of locally manufactured SIG 552/551 don't you understand? The SIG AR platform hasn't been a proven platform at all. LWRCI's are issued to a few Departments and are in use with the DEA and Pentagon Force Protection Units, and the HK416 is in the hands of many a SWAT Team and special unit across the United States, bot LWRCI & HK make the highest quality AR produced to date. SIG Sauer USA is largely independent from SIG/JP Sauer & Sohn. You sound like a rep for SIG USA guy.

  • Added to which, if you are happy with a SIG AR, great, good for you. No need to be offended because I happen to think SIG should have produced the 550-series here locally (not limited by import laws) and left the AR market to a market awash with AR-rifles. 550-series are what made Swiss SIGs great.

  • no rep just like there products. and i dont think the platform has to be proven it seems like the exact same as lawrc and hk. the design of piston ar and di ar are all pretty much a standered now. but if there are some differences please let me know them. i plan on buying a sig 516 there expected to be 1400ish i wanna say. but if theres a big diff that makes lwrc better then let me know cuz when your spending 1400ish whats another 600.

  • @dp665 I couldn't agree with you more...

  • @dp665 HK and LWRC are just names thats the only reason why the prices are jacked up really

  • @dp665 agreed.....sig=quality

  • @dp665 KAC has a ambi, AR-15 model its 1800 MSRP but still plus the bolt design is pretty reliable as they say it is

  • @jimbo45cal

Looks like everyone is trying to catch up with H&K i.m.o. . US went to Germany, started a colab with the wonderful guys at H&K and after the system was developed and shit they took the design home and built their own "all American" version which is the exact same thing but in a larger caliber. I think that was the plan from the very beginning... And it wouldn't be the first time. Let's not forget that the Germans invented the automatic assault rifle.

  • @retardno002 when you say US, who or what company do you mean? The drawbacks I see with 416 is the price tag for a product not any better than LWRC. Plus lwrc's complete rifles are damn near half the price of a 416 upper! HK is ridiculously expensive and civilian unfriendly

Germans invented the assault rifle but it took a Russian to popularize it

  • @jimbo45cal I agree, HKs are expensive, and yes the Russians did popularise it but the Tommy Gun is practically the exact same rifle as the Sturmgewerh or however you spell it. And when I say US I mean LWRC, Colt, Springfield, Smith & Wesson... You get the point.

  • @retardno002 how do you figure the stg44 and the thompson sub machine gun are the same? Their designs are no where even similar, on the other hand the AK47 can be said it was copied from the sturm design.

  • @jimbo45cal Agreed. I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote that.

  • @jimbo45cal

Actually first to deploy assault rifles to troops were French shortly followed by Russians, and that was during Great War (WWI).

A real MASS produced AR is pretty much... M1 carbine (or it's M2 version, if you consider full auto as a must).

And you can't get an AK by copying StG-44, what they DO HAVE in common is idea of mass produced stamped weapon, not the most accurate or ergonomical, but it can be produced in freat numbers.

  • @jimbo45cal not really..

  • @Crim15 they really are

  • @jimbo45cal ZM Inc. started with Piston AR-15 in the early 90s followed by HK's start on the HK416. LWRC Just got more attention later on..

  • @Crim15 I never said that every other company is trying to catch up to LWRCI b/c they invented the piston ar. I'm saying they are copying certain design innovations made by LWRCI. Look at the similarities of the carrier... it's a one piece with a fluted back. Also it has a gas selector like the M6A3 made by LWRC, there is NO other company that makes piston system AR's with an adjustable gas system besides LWRC.

  • @jimbo45cal Ever heard about overseas licensed manufacturers? There were Swedish, German and Finnish reproductions with adjustable ports. In fact Daewoo, (Singaporean) had AR-15 with a single piston and bolt carrier model in the 70s. The only thing special about LWRC is that they caught better attention with their products..

  • @Crim15 Yet you cant name specifics on all those German, Swedish, and Finnish companies whos rifles all came with adjustable ports. Please be more vague on your response next time. Daewoo isnt Singaporeon, its a Korean weapons manufacturer. Next time in your response how about putting in some model names and more specific details of what your actually trying to compare LWRC copying.

  • @jimbo45cal I didn't say they were companies, they were governent and independent reproductions. They're ARs with rebuilt parts made for observation and evaluations done after NATO standardization in the 70s and 80s. Daewoo did Build an SAR for Singapore with the same spec as I said. The adjustable port on the Sig 516 is that from a Sig 550. Almost everyone has already been tinkering with the AR-15 since it's introduction. I might say in Fact the LWRC is in fact the one doing all the copying..

  • That shorty is sexy....

  • and with a gas piston, it'll probably work okay with the shorten barrel.

  • I want one.
