FYI, this was a multinational event where couriers, cyclists, and bike messengers from around the world participated in a city wide race for the rush of weaving through traffic, finding the best route, and proving their prowess over others. Therefore, i find it hard to believe that ur an "avid cyclist." This shit makes me proud

Bikes are unstable, tiny alterations in steering lead to big changes - meaning you can't predict their next move - steer clear.
If you're overtaking a car its not easier to predict their movements - if cars are still, they aren't going to move; the same isn't true of bikes. Just my opinion anyway.
