First off the modern origin of the word, skate, is taken from the Dutch word "schaats". Skating prior to the invention of the "skateboard" was always linked with ice skates and then roller skates. Both of which were around a long time before skateboarding. Accordingly, The ability of these skates in my video more closely resemble the factual definition of skating , not the Johnny Come Lately sport of skateboarding.
