Tim Burton is an amazing director. He can make the audience see Todd as both a villain and a heart broken man who has lost his way. The casting of Johnny Depp as Todd was a brilliant choice and I find the whole cast was chosen very well. Johnny Depp show's Todd's inner feelings and show's how mad he really is. I would type more to this but the character limit has me beat.

Depp is, as usual, amazing. I love how he can play different roles and how there's not even a hint of Jack Sparrow in his Sweeney Todd version. He truly is an actor you take seriously. And so is also Helena Bonham Carter and Alan Rickman. I love both of them in the Harry Potter movies.

Apparently when this first came out, people went to see it and walked out of the theatre when they realised it was a musical because the trailer didn't give any sign it was a musical. Right... 'cos 1:11 to 1:31 doesn't give any hint at all.

Not that trolls on major pms should give a fuck, but this is indeed my #1 movie. Johnny Depp is an outstanding actor. Though, every time I watch it, I cant help but laugh during the scene(s) with Mrs Lovett and good ol' Sweeney as "lovers" (especially when he's dressed in stripes sulking on the beach) because it reminds me of Edward Scissorhands (another wonderful movie). XD
