  • Very cognitive video. But many things can be found here: alturl.com / 3z6sr (delete spaces)

  • How do you know the tail is parallel with the pins on the other side? Can you clamp two woods at the same time? Tail on one side and pins on the other? And just change the bit for the pins and tails. Does the jig have a line on the center for reference?

  • Does that mean you need different bits for the tail and the pins?

  • @perto75 Yes. You need a straight bit for the pins, and a dovetail bit for the tails. MLCS Woodworking has a nice package that includes the template and bits.

  • @perto75 como puedo hacer para conseguir una plantilla como se muestra en el video.

    soy de la Argentina

  • what kind of wood is that?

  • @ironlionkalo I believe it's cocobolo. It's very heavy, dense and oily. If you search for one of my other videos called Arched Topped Keepsake Box, you can see the rest of that wood become a keepsake box.

  • Good close-ups, clear photography, intelligible narration with machine sounds at lower volume, no distracting background music while narrating, steady slow tempo, good editing.... All of these features make this a great informative video and is undoubtedly a good sales tool. Thanks for these videos. I know they take a lot of effort.

John, I wish you continued success.

  • @OldSchoolSkill Thanks! I appreciate the thorough and positve review.

  • Very thorough and easy to understand, as well as ingenious ideas. I rarely find this quality of videos on the tube. Thanks

  • @BradburyGuy

Thanks. I'm glad you like the video. The dovetail templates are simple and easy to use, but can be tricky to setup. It's good to know that you liked the presentation.

    John

  • Thank you! All my life - I'm over 60 - I have wondered what manner of woodworking alchemy went into making the nice looking dovetail joints on all my drawers. I had visions of vastly complex set-ups operated by specialist genii doing nothing else all day! Thanks to this clear demonstration in simple but not condescending language, I even feel I might be able to make dovetail joints myself.

  • Yo he comprado ya este productio y me parece algo complicado de ajustar, sin embargo cumple bien su cometido.

Es facil comprarlo directo, es el costo de envio mas un 15% de impuestos, si tarda en llegar no culpen al correo sino a la aduana.

  • I have this kit. It wont work on stock over 3/4"

  • Very good man, I want one of these templates, do you sale in Mexico city...

  • Great product!!! highly recommended. nice video as well.

  • nice video, plan on using this when i get my jig this weekend

  • Superb demonstration. Thank you very much for posting this - just what I needed to know!

    Cheers.

  • buen video en MEXICO DONDE SE PUEDE CONSEGUIR ESTE APARATITO

  • Usted puede conseguir este producto de carpintería de MLCS. MLCS envía internacionalmente a México.

You can get this product from MLCS Woodworking. MLCS ships internationally to Mexico.

    Thanks.

  • This is the best video I've ever seen on dovetail machines setup! I've spent over 150.00 in videos, and they all left me hanging. I went down to the garage, and without even thinking about it, just using this guy's teaching here, I cut perfect dovetails in a couple of minutes, rather than all the trial and error. NOW for the first time I know where to measure from, what is important to consider, etc.

  • Excellent video, narration and demonstration. Always wondered how those cuts were made. No detail was over-looked.

    Thanks!
