Cool Video! I enjoyed it. If you can find a way to make your more "artsy" videos have the entertainment value and mass appeal of your regular videos then you will go far. I enjoy writing and one of the hardest things for me to do is to express myself in my work, AND make it have mass appeal. So even though I'm not a filmmaker I understand where you are coming from at this stage in your career. Consider this a challenge for your next work!
Hey, congrats on having the guts to make the videos you want to make. I wish more YouTubers would do this instead of obsessing about views and subscriber counts. Stick to your guns Jake.
Sir Jake- I will not pretend to know much about film making. But I know what I like and this is very fascinating! I loved it. It has that old time feel to it. I read a few comments before i commented. I agree with you 110%. You are not 13 now. If you made the same videos, you would probably look silly. We all need to grow with whatever our passion is and yours is certainly shown here with film. I am looking forward to your work. I can't believe you have thumbs down. Some people don't get it.
interesting film Jake a little protracted in parts visually but what my perspective and interpretation is in relation to your intent if differing doesnt discredit from its creation or existance ,,its the importance of the message and its ability (yours) to logically convey and be understood by the viewer that gives merit to the piece yet still allowing for open individual interpretation and conclusions , looking forward to your next vids Jake !
I really like your stuff mate haha Im not Australian, But yeah I really like your work it always slows me down and makes me think. Your an artist and I appreciate that. keep it up Jake :D
I pronounced this one right too :D Waw I actually learned in those classes? x] feels accomplished. PICTURE! :D. You're editing skills are mind blowing. And yay this one didn't disturb me like the other one :D It was good. Lush it. Stay awesome Jake
This work will appeal only to a small minority of you tube watchers. Unfortunately sometimes the intellectual content has to be connected to the entertainment content. One without the other makes for a less enjoyable experience. Perhaps you want to limit your audience to only those who appreciate your talent, but you risk becoming the forgotten artist who stayed true to their intellectual vision, while no one watched.
@gpn0099 I dont care if people forget me, I would prefer people to forget me. Its about the work, and if the work can touch, confront and evoke people, to me thats all that matters. But i do agree youtube has a limited audience when it comes to this kind of film making, hence me feeling that i doubt ill stay on youtube much longer...
@Imaginationsvideo I hope you do stay for us that appreciate and enjoy your work. wouldn't you rather have some viewers that enjoy it than thousands that do not. Being creative and unique unfortunately doesn't appeal to the mainstream who want everything silly and simple. Where would we be if we didn't have those as you that use their mind and creativity to go further . You are a fine young film maker with I see a future in the industry.
its insane how you make your videos Jake.. i swear these could go up in the museum of modern art in Sydney! i mean what i saw at the exhibition there video wise... this would fit right in! Very talented! your use of effects is always spot on
sorry it cut off. I think @princesselise has a valid point as to wanting to see some vlogs as well because you really do have a cheerful and lovable personality on those so it makes viewers want to see more like it. I see your point tho. A million people on YouTube are doing the same tired thing. Keep it up with your art because that is where the beauty is!
@mascottie Thanks for watching! People are acting like I'm leaving or something. Im not leaving, I'm just maturing. And right now I'm at an art stage of film making. I refuse to stay 'Jake Lyandon' forever.
I can't believe you're not 18 yet (I was reading the comments below)... You're definitely an old soul. You have so much talent that seems to capture ages of experience. These art piece videos are completely amazing and I look forward to more in the future. I think
@princesseIise I completely understand what your saying. BUT I began making youtube videos when I was 13. I am now almost 18, and no offence, but I will not be making the same videos as I was 4 years ago. If you want some fake Youtuber who makes the same videos day in and out for the rest of their life, there are plenty out there, but unlike them I stay true to MYSELF. And right now this is myself. x
@Imaginationsvideo Woah, I feel like that is offensive to a wide array of very good YouTubers. Many vloggers aren't fake at all, and they keep developing as time goes on - just in a different medium than you are. I respect your right to make whatever kinds of videos you want, and I really find them entertaining, but I feel like you should show equivalent respect to other youtubers.
@Memorable0312 Dont you dare tell me i don't respect youtubers! I respect and am friends with SO many amazing youtubers and online film makers. I have been making online videos for years now and if I didn't have respect for the people who paved this website, then i wouldn't be where i am today.
@Imaginationsvideo I understand what you're saying and can appreciate it, but I can appreciate the other comments too. People subscribed because they liked one thing, and you're giving them another. it's like if Coke suddenly changed it's flavor to grape.
oh yeah, first comment!! i lub it so muj :) oh and you too, not just the videoo you're such an inspiration for all aspiring photographers and filmmakers
I love it <3

This frightened me.
And that sounds mean, but I don't mean it like that D:
The message of the video got to me, and I guess the corruption to me was kind of scary.
Maybe thats because I'm a wimp.
But I think that you're very talented, this video is very artistic. It sounds lame, but to me, its truly inspiring way to make film.
and I hope this comment doesn't sound nasty Dx because that's not what I'm trying to say D;
This video, it's kind of beautiful :]
