A little clarification - Firstold and Charles "Doc" Santee are one and the same.
The model here was first introduced under the name "fireworks". The model fast became very popular and I thought it deserved a more distinctive name. I ask for suggestions and the results was "Kaleidoscopic Twister" (a combination of several suggestions). Occasionally it is also still refered to as "Doc's Fireworks". Hope you enjoy folding and/or playing with this model
If you can fold small use 10 inch Kami cut in half
For larger (like in the video) cut a rectangel at a ratio of 2 to 1 out of a roll of wrapping paper (use better quality paper or craft paper - make sure the back is a different color)
Wonderful..I enjoyed that so much. TY It did cross my mind though. Has anyone made origami things with toilet paper? I know tissue flowers were made in the olden days and our son used money to make a bird. He's 19 and makes me origami gifts for Christmas etc and I LOVE IT:) Gifts from the heart. I am shocked that 1 piece of paper can do so much.
This particular model unlike many of my others is best done with more traditional origami paper and not card stock, However, card stock can be purchased most inexpensively from office supply stores.
Ah, this is a nice one. I watched the video a minute ago when reading your email to the O-list. Very well done! It'd be great to have instructions for this... any plans? I'd be tempted to ask you whether I may make a video on how to fold it (once I figure out how to do it, and don't think it's too hard to explain).
omg dont undo he whole figure!
