  • first of all they're not fireworks and second it's the Kaleidoscopic Twister!!!

  • A little clarification - Firstold and Charles "Doc" Santee are one and the same.

The model here was first introduced under the name "fireworks". The model fast became very popular and I thought it deserved a more distinctive name. I ask for suggestions and the results was "Kaleidoscopic Twister" (a combination of several suggestions). Occasionally it is also still refered to as "Doc's Fireworks". Hope you enjoy folding and/or playing with this model

    Doc (AKA Firstfold)

  • @firstfold hi doc i was wondering what size paper you used for the kaleidoscopic twister and where can you get it?

  • @theYANMINGshow

If you can fold small use 10 inch Kami cut in half

For larger (like in the video) cut a rectangel at a ratio of 2 to 1 out of a roll of wrapping paper (use better quality paper or craft paper - make sure the back is a different color)

I often cut of 15 inches on a 30 inch roll

  • This makes me want a reeses peanut butter cup so bad...

  • i like it but whyd u go and destroy it!!!

  • Dude, thats a kalydoscopic twister

  • Hey Dude - your right and I am the one who designed this but the video was made before I came up with the final name !

  • Lol nice dude

  • Wonderful..I enjoyed that so much. TY It did cross my mind though. Has anyone made origami things with toilet paper? I know tissue flowers were made in the olden days and our son used money to make a bird. He's 19 and makes me origami gifts for Christmas etc and I LOVE IT:) Gifts from the heart. I am shocked that 1 piece of paper can do so much.

  • Giggidy

  • This particular model unlike many of my others is best done with more traditional origami paper and not card stock, However, card stock can be purchased most inexpensively from office supply stores.

  • wow! that fireworks desing is lovely! i made the other one :)

  • how do u do that

  • Click on the Video Response by AdamsSara to view instructions for folding !

  • how do you make it

  • If all goes well, I'll be doing an instructional video for this model in a couple of weeks.

Doc - great model, it'll be a pleasure to promote this design of yours!

  • Ah, this is a nice one. I watched the video a minute ago when reading your email to the O-list. Very well done! It'd be great to have instructions for this... any plans? I'd be tempted to ask you whether I may make a video on how to fold it (once I figure out how to do it, and don't think it's too hard to explain).
