When I first heard Finn sing the song, I surprisingly found the cover sweet and perfectly sung. I thought it was one of the best covers. However, I had no knowledge that this version was originally performed by this amazing Greg. Glee should have at least given some credit for the cover. I am a bit disappointed and now I prefer to listen to Greg's voice instead.

I'm sorry. But at no point in the Glee episode, did the characters say "this is our original arrangement." Yeah, they didn't say which artist it was by - but so what! It's not like they give credit for every other song, what about the introduction to singing "Perfect" by P!nk? Kurt and Blaine didn't exactly convey that it was "their favourite song by P!nk," so what if someone didn't know it was by P!nk and was commenting on a youtube video saying "Wow, this is awesome; Klaine sang beautifully."

When a cover version of a song is covered again by another it is not legally necessary to give credit to the person who performed the cover first. The only credit that must be given is to the original writer and recording label. Glee probably should have given credit where credit is due, but it was not legally necessary for them to do so.
