Terrible...We just had the bad accident this past Sunday night (12/20/09) on I-55 near Cicero Ave. Off duty Lockport Police Officer driving southbound with blood alcohol nearly 3 times the legal limit goes over median, strikes oncoming north bound car killing the driver, but survives himself...sad how it somehow always happens that way...

If you notice at :39 it shows that the car is half black and half white. The car was originally black or a dark color but the fire burned off the paint showing the metal in white form. So it is the same car.

Strange that the car burst into flames, at least most of the headon collisions I saw (news etc.), cars never burst into flames. Only if someting ruptures the tank, but the rear part from the car seems to be quite untouched here. Weird.

Btw, the car is a 630i, just watch the exhaust (these are round, the 650i has oval ones).

yeah but is possible that the fuel rail or line broke on impact and the fuel pump most likely keep pumping creating at leas a little fire and then the car is going to burn the plastics inside of the hood,engine cover and keep burning
