Not really to do with the speed, but to do with the fact that the tackling system is so broken. In real football - the people CAN move fast, but people don't charge into tackles all the time.

yeaa uve a good point there, i agree, but i believe the gameplay was too fast, and in 08 the players controlled the ball just like in real life it takes time and it took them time to turn and evrything, in 09 it's extremely easy to just get the ball and move with it

yeah in the demo for 09 it did seem way faster but if u compare an actual soccer/football match to any of the fifa games they would never get to that. they have to make a new style of play and add every detail such as quick free kick etc.. to make the game similar to real life because in real life its much slower and much faster at the same time. so they got to find the in between pace which i think they did in 09

Rutter has all but saved Fifa with his team, 09 was miles ahead of pro and was easily the best footie game. Fifa 10 will improve further under him and cement its place as the best. Has anyone seen Pes new card system? it is absolutely ridiculous.

i like the idea of the new card system in pes. it's just like selecting certain traits of the player for him to use during a match. for example ronaldo running at defenders . you can select that card for him to do that but unselect it if you want him to be a bit more conservative in aggression like he is at times. it's just adds a bit more strategy to the game.

fifa is looking good tho. i'll just buy which ever is better tbh.
