  • @looterish Yes he syllabified the text to be sung as "vi-ol" in this musical setting. But at the end of the day it is what the conductor decided it "should" be for this performance.

  • @lycanthropist88 Do you think so? I was hearing it sung as in "vy-ol" and divided into the two distinct syllables. I've always heard it pronounced like that in English, or simply as in "vile." As far as I know, neither one is incorrect. It sounded as though Byrd was dividing the word into two syllables.

  • This is a really beautiful song but the echo is kind of annoying at times. They sang this really well.

  • Wow. good sound. I like the subtle reverb of the church - although the recording isn't that good (or maybe it's my speakers)
