I came across his wonderful album in a shop called "garland of letters" on South St. in Philadelphia. I fell in love with the sound and played it over and over, I still have the album, but I think its pretty worn outl.

When it was first released, I remember programming this for Radio Australia's playlist. I was told in no uncertain terms by one of the so-called "disc jockey's" there that it was just "wallpaper" music. (What did he know??!) Even after all these years, I still think it's a great track. I think it's possible Vollenweider's work inspired the composers for Cirque de Soleil.
@LEGOtemper - I also like how each song forms into the next, so if you put it on 'repeat CD' then it will repeat over again and sound continuously smooth... You could hear it turning to another song at the end of this video!
ahh yea......so glad to have found something from this incredibly transcending album I first discovered just over 20 yrs. ago from an old suprvsr. of mine!!!!! AMAZING album......no one song can be played alone....the entire piece is an experience!
@tiad Andre Vollenweider is my alltime favorite artist. He incorporates his flair for the sensual and dramatic into ever note he plays. Its euphoric to listen to and a sadness to leave it.

This album is perfect. 25 years old and it sounds as awesome as it did in 86. It really does take you to another place or another time.
