I went online to university websites. I did my research. I read articles written by medical doctors, and the gist of it was that smoked cannabis is very different from tobacco, in that it is much less addictive and it has chemicals (like Cannabidiol) that act as protection from other carcinogens in the smoke. CBD (Cannabidiol) attaches to the Id-1 gene receptor and switches the gene off. When the gene is off the cancer loses its aggressive tendencies and dies. Look it up.

I went online to university websites. I did my research. I read articles written by medical doctors, and the gist of it was that smoked cannabis is very different from tobacco, in that it is much less addictive and it has chemicals (like Cannabidiol) that act as protection from other carcinogens in the smoke. CBD (Cannabidiol) attaches to the Id-1 gene receptor and switches the gene off. When the gene is off the cancer loses its aggressive tendencies and dies. Look it up.

First off, that chiropractor who was interviewed show exactly how much he knew on the subject when he used the "gateway drug" argument. According to the 3rd party sources I've looked at ( sources that also claim negative health defects for marijuana) found no evidence for such.
Secondly, arguing that because a substance something is harmful that additional penalties should be enforced is a complete fallacy. Something that is harmful should NOT have additional punishment.

they all know weed isnt harmful, they've heard it before. legalization would just affect their paper, tobacco, alcohol, and oil investments. currently, paper companies are clearing out forests, tobacco and alcohol are killing people, and gas and smog is eating at the ozone and our lungs. legalization would honestly solve all the worlds problems. not to mention other drug addictions.

Its not about adding something thats "not neccessary". Its about the government and the society making profits instead of giving the power and the money to the black market(criminal networks). The state of California, only, will earn 1.8million dollars a year from taxes of cannabis. Alot of people who are sick and suffers from different diseases are already suffering from it being illegal. Medical cannabis. Its not even proven to be bad for you health.

The argument here totally misses the point.
There are only 3 categories of crime. Crime against persons, crime against property, and contract violation.
Growing a plant is not a crime. Placing a natural substance into ones own body voluntarily is not a crime.
The issue here is the involuntary stripping of Americans of their inalienable rights, propagating the fraud of civil /privileges/, and the reduction of the population to a chattel owned by a fascist corporate state.

If the fascist corporate state allowed growth & sale of hemp products, it would undercut the MASSIVE profitability of CIA narcotraffic in a condition of Prohibition that pushes profit to a maximum.
The War on Drugs would likely have to be dropped. That source of revenue from fines, stripping people of their property, and profitability of prison populations to is cost prohibitive.
The Debt Syndicate will kill anyone and everyone that stands in the way of their illicit drug profits.
