Turk official winner Greek unofficial winner on more actual merit but figuring in height will probably never happen in lifting, only body weight.  Cholakov was 6.5" taller than Reza, snatched only 12pounds less, taller man also weighed 17pounds less & had to pull weight over greater distance did not seem a limit lift.

That's quite a subjective declaration. If you wanna go based on Olympic medal count, Dimas wins (three golds, one bronze, although Kakhiashvilis and Mutlu are also three-time olympic gold medalists and Ronny Weller is also a four-time medalist). If you want to go based on world records, no one even comes close to Alekseyev (80 world records and also the first man to clean and jerk 500 pounds). I could go on, but case in point, your criteria for "the greatest, period" seems to be a bit arbitrary.

Naim won more world championships, 83,85,86,89,91,93-95. and could have won gold in 84 had there not been a boycott. Naim also set more world records than Dimas and won more world championship titles and has the all time greatest pound for pound lift in history. Those other lifters are great lifters, kakhi my personal favorite technician, but Naim won more titles and set more records than him or Dimas or Weller.

This amounts to 505 Sinclair points, i.e., equivalent of lifting 505kg in total for the category of +105kg, which is the best ever performance in world history and will always be.

Like Thomas Topham, who might have been able to clean and jerk 4x bodyweight. It would have been before his knees were damaged by accident holding back a team of horses, not the pull, but the crash against other object. Undocumentable feats must be regarded as possibly fictitious but somethings are known of TT.

A generalization. Tom Topham was strongest man on percent in recorded history---an Englishman. Leonidas was BETTER lifter than his adversary. Why? Four and a half inches taller, same bodyweight. Less muscle per inch of height, more merit in his lifts. With that handicap of being more slender and having to move weight over longer distance, he still almost won. Whatever is true deserves to be said. I'm French, not Greek.

Obviously, you did not watch Naim at that time. He could have lifted more weight, and he did while he was training. He knew his opponent's limits and so he lifted the amount that would win him the gold medal. Please keep in mind that in weight lifting competitions, best wins all the time.
