Those speakers look hot in black. I've always wanted to buy a pair of these, since I am a Dynaco fan, but I never felt you could buy speakers without hearing them first. (Everybody's ear is different). Is the bass and high-end smooth on these? Someday... I'll bite the bullet and just buy a pair and try them.
@thelazycomic The A35's have nice smoothness especially in the middle. I use a sub-woofer with them, but they sound good even without it. I would like to listen to the smaller A25's that are so popular. I brought them without hearing them and was surprised at how nice they sounded.
Great job they look excellent, how much did you pay for them ? I found a sweet pair of Dynaco A-25 speakers for $ 2. at a thrift store in close to mint condition, didn't know what I had till I diid some research. awesome find !
Beautiful job! I'm very familiar with the old Dynaco speakers and these use a totally different design according to the prints you show. The A25 used a damped vent (aperiodic) but the A35 appears to have an internal panel (brace) with an opening. It appears to be a dual chamber but the 2nd chamber doesn't open to air. I've never seen anything like it. But they sound WAY better than the classic A25!
@49kasey I have never heard the A25 but I do like the sound of these. I'm in the process of building new Cabinets which I'll veneer and replace the old capacitors. The contents from these will go into them. The new cabinets are stronger. I will post later. Thanks for your comments I was considering building a set of A25 I purchased the contents on Ebay including crossovers. Now to find out how much fiberglass to put into them. .
@Hornerart Really smart to rebuild the enclosures. Use the best caps you can afford! Parts express is your best buy source. Don't skimp. I'm interested in your enclosure design, let me know, okay? As far as fiberfill, use Dacron if you want to fill it. But if you just want to line it there's an asphalt filled rubber with a sticky backing that's supposed to increase the effective enclosure volume while strentghening the walls. BTW, the A25 woofer was crap so don't bother. Rather compressed.
@yourblogcoach I put a lot more work than I thought I would have to put into them. Thanks, If I can keep the price points down on making the the cloned pair I may sell them. The parts are adding up plus the labor. Thanks for asking. if I make another set I'll have to make another set for me.

Nice Job on those speakers. Share some of what you are doing with the set you are building. Also will they be for sale?
