  • uber kool jam :) thanks so much for the demo

  • Futureretro have a very remarkable quality instruments, hope they keep it up.

  • awesome gear man...it's on my wish list!!

  • Damn, the XS sounds so thick. Great sound!

  • I've only had it for about a month, and I can honestly say that it is worth every penny and more. Aw, man I love my XS.

  • Supergenial. Schleicht sich ganz behutsam rein, Knetet die Synapsen bis in die letzte Verästelung und man möchte es gar nicht mehr gehen lassen...macht Hunger nach mehr...muss ich haben ab jetzt, vielen Dank

  • the distortion @ 5:50 when he turns the resonance or distortion up is wow

  • low decay effect sounds great with this.

  • Amazing demo !!! : )

  • what is the amount of BPM you are using up to 4:15? 120? and then switches to?

  • wtf is that disc thing?

  • That would be the Future Retro Revolution synthesizer/sequencer. In this video we use it to play the XS.

  • This synth sound unbelievably good!

  • wow

  • ...!WOW!...

  • very nice sounds are blasting from these machines?!?! getting some of these when my economical advantage is kindling new flames. bless thee father of our fire. devour the power. taste metal @ 5 minutes. seed on tree down dogg pound.

  • i hear that!

  • Not really. The most classic acid synth the TB-303 only had one osc. Mini Moog had three, but a three osc sound is so huge it's limited in what you can do with it, as it will usually overpower any other synth sounds you may want to mix with it, which is why the mini moogs also had the option of switching the third osc to a LFO

  • @meltingpenguin

not reallly... the mini had a mix section where you could play it as a single osc synth.... saying that it is limited for having MORE oscs is kind of silly....

  • @DomiBabi3 I'm not saying that the mini is more limited, I'm saying that three osc sounds are limited. Making the third more of a luxury then a necessity.

The mini is an amazing synth.

  • Oh yeah I just bought mine second hand serial number 9!!!!! Woooooooooo hoooooooo

I am dying with anticipation for it to arrive and ALSO FOR FR TO TELL US WHAT THE HELL IS COMING NEXT???????? Who wants to buy my MS-20?

  • if I can convince myself I need it, I might buy your MS-20!

although the XS does look so tempting

love how funky the accents can sound

  • This is the sort of musicial instrument that Darth Vader would use for his parties on the death star.

  • holy shit lol

  • @sudnaidu hhahahaaha

  • I have seen all of the videos and a lot of discussion about the XS, from all accounts it's the best new monosynth to come out for a loooooong time. I'm waving money at you Jared, now get some stock to stores in Germany!

  • The Revolution does a better job recreating the TB303 sounds, and has more features in the sequencer than the 777.

The 777 has the ability to produce a wider range of sounds.

So it really depends on your taste, and what you are wanting to do.

  • Nice. Is the revolution better than the 777?

  • Notes can be accented by either MIDI velocity messages or external control voltages. The accent Sensitity control determines the point in which the velocity value or control voltage causes the envelopes to be accented or not.

  • I have a question about accenting notes

Are the notes accented when the velocity hits a certain point

  • wow this thing is impressive it makes 606 sounds and more!

  • The "UFO" is our Revolution synthesizer/sequencer. In this video we are using the Revolution's sequencer to play the XS.

  • Good demo, phat sounds. What does the UFO do?

  • Beautiful! Can't wait until my local shop has one in stock.

  • I think this will be the ms-20 of our time!

I don't even play acid/techno but I can tell this is so raw and good sounding for other types of music.

  • I'm gonna buy one for sure, I just can't handle pre ordering because I'm so impatient. Must have XS now! srsly how long is the wait?

Would love it if you made something like a slimmed down, non modular version with patch storage someday... just dreamin.

Thanks for demoing the XS so well, if only all synth manufactures took the time to make a few proper demos like this...

  • dude! to me you have a good analogy...to

the ms-20. i bought one and it crapped

out on me. but am thinking of this

future retro unit as the next step.

  • The Revolution's sequencer is playing the XS. No sound is being generated by the Revolution in this series of demonstration. All sounds were recorded from the output of the XS ran directly into the audio input of the video camera.

  • so what's doing what in this video? is the revo controlling or adding sound too?
