If I am correct, Perry needed surgery and Journey couldnt wait for him. So they brought in Steve Augeri to replace him. And Steve never sang with Journey again :(

You know what? This new guy not only sound so journeyish but also hit high notes better and more powerful than the original especially on ballads like OPEN ARMS & FAITFULLY. Ears don't lie. He gave the old song a little bit of modern touch. I just wish journey stopby Florida on their US Tour. Love it then & now.

I love Steve Perry's voice but this guy Arnel sounds GREAT. I think his voice is much better than the previous two singers--no offense to them if they ever read this.
