From"What Love Has Joined Together".I want to say that it was the last Smokey & The Miracles album together('71or'72),but the way the recorded it was absolutly beautiful,as was the rest of the album.....Beautiful !!!!
smokey did 4 Beatles covers like yesterday, hey jude, something and i love her. smokey and the Miracles return the Beatles a favor smokey 's song yesterlove was inspired by the Beatles song yesterday because the Beatles did his version of You've Really Goty A Hold on Me and the Beatles song All Ive Got to Do was inspired by Smokey's song You Can Depend on Me
Smokey stopped by Daryl Hall's house last year, chronicled on his website (LFDH.com) as Episode #22. Fantastic show with Smokey and the greatest in "blue-eyed soul, Daryl Hall. Hope you enjoy it! Some of Smokey's classics featured in Daryl's studio and priceless others.

this is a great cover, but I would've liked it more bare. Its too overproduced and it detracts away from the original's simplicity as well as Smokey's voice and soul. If it was just Smokey a guitar and his soul, lord!!!!
@andgar923 I know where you are coming from. For me, all this overproduction in this track sounds like record company's demands. Is good anyway, I mean....what could sound bad with this dude singing on?
ALL of THE MIRACLES deserve credit ....not just Smokey . They are a magnificent group...one of the best there EVER WAS...or ever will be!!!
SMOKEY ROBINSON, CLAUDETTE ROBINSON, BOBBY ROGERS, PETE MOORE, RONNIE WHITE, and MARV TARPLIN. They were A major influence on ALL of the BRITISH INVASION groups ,who covered many of THE MIRACLES' tunes.
On this song, The Miracles decided to return the favor. The Beatles covered the Miracles' million-selling hit "YOU'VE REALLY GOT A HOLD ON ME".
first heard this to night, what magical this man unbeivable, just sheer magic, Oh God! this man, thier no words what a voice what a song. YES, HE IS THE BLACK GOD FATHER ALL THE MUSIC. TELL THE TRUTH AND WROTE THE BEATLES SONG GIVE THESE PEOPLE THIER PROP GOD GAVE THESE PEOPLE THIS GIFT.......AND IM WHITE
NO,,, I MEAN THE MIRACLES .The Beatles, and many other British Invasion acts, were inspired by The Miracles' songs and music. See "The Miracles" in Wikipedia for details.
it is lovely (speshly the "a love like ours will never die" part) but i do prefer the beatles versh. however I prefer Stevie Wonder's cover of We Can Work it Out to the original. that's fantastic.
need to put something staight didtn mean to insult liverpool band was drunk meant i liked this version better.wont be drinking when listening to you tube again. sorry

This is such a touching version! Smokey's voice is incredibly touching, smooth, like velvet. I am getting goose-bumps.

A masterpiece brilliantly interpreted, it is rare to see the Beatle's songs even better than the originals, this is the case, bravo.
un morceau d'anthologie interprété avec brio, il est rare de voir des morceau des Beatles encore meilleur que les originaux, c'est ici le cas, bravo.

There was a mutual admiration society between Smokey and the Beatles. Smokey's song, "Yesterlove" was inspired by "Yesterday."
