As a former US Army Sergeant, I flew into Shannon, Ireland many times on my way in and out of Iraq. I must say that the few locals we encountered were courteous and respectful, which I truly appreciated. Perhaps it was because we bought so much booze in the duty free shop, but I'd like to think it was an appreciation for our promulgation of Western values abroad. In any case, it was nice to stop in Ireland on the way home and have a fresh pint of Guinness, of which I had several. Good times.

As a former US Army Sergeant, I flew into Shannon, Ireland many times on my way in and out of Iraq. I must say that the few locals we encountered were courteous and respectful, which I truly appreciated. Perhaps it was because we bought so much booze in the duty free shop, but I'd like to think it was an appreciation for our promulgation of Western values abroad. In any case, it was nice to stop in Ireland on the way home and have a fresh pint of Guinness, of which I had several. Good times.

@angrynhpatriot What do you mean we are spreading tyranny? Have you taken a good look at Egypt? They overthrew their leader and all they're worried about is getting islamists to rule them and fight Israel. Have you seen what they are doing to Christians? We shouldn't have gone to Iraq but these middle east countries fight amongst themselves.

@schaferhund11 They overthrew a dictator and an American puppet. Now they protest the military council. They are trying to get rid of tyranny but when a revolution occurs you have various factions.

It seems strange they want a oppressive islamic regime who's first concern is to make war on Israel and oppress the Christian minority. These people are not just peaceful Amish people you know. If you went to most of these countries with a Bible, they would arrest you. Think about it!

@schaferhund11 Ill be honest I dont care about the Egyptians and their tyrants. I care about my country Ireland allowing imperialist forces into it. The US army is our enemy by proxy. They are allies with our enemies after all and they invade and oppress the peoples of Afghanistan and Iraq. Tiocfaidh ar la.

@grimblebrumble17889 The U.S. Army has done nothing to the people of Ireland, in fact some of your soldiers come here to train. Just worry about Ireland, the people in the Middle East are totally different to your situation. I don't agree with the Iraq war, but most of the deaths have been from terrorists that kill anyone.
