What's funny is people only think about shredding. I plan to do some crazy funky tool riffs but with the lower strings. Shit sounds so organic when you play around. Other-wordly is the tone you receive playing with the right style and a good drummer.

@guysapire IMO, Agile guitars are worth the money! They don't come setup at all. If you don't have a clue how to do it, do yourself a favor and pay to have it done. Well worth the 30 bucks at your local guitar shop. I was lucky enough to pick up a Schecter Hellraiser C8 for a couple hundred from an obvious moron, but I still rock my Agile.

@FatFuckRecherche I decided to go for the Ibanez RGA8 instead; it was like half the price of the RG2228; but I had a few problems with it; namely with the bridge, and some of the strings not ringing out properly.

I would highly recommend trying our an Agile; they're cheaper, they look nicer, and they sound sick; but I don't think they give you a warrenty outside of the USA. You might need to insure it, just in case there's a fault with it.

seeing as noone answered you, I ASSUME its like the same size as the low e on a bass, like a tiny bit thinner, I say this considering that if you lower the F# down a whole step, you get an E, the same octave on a bass. hope this helps!!
