yes, she does play "unnaturally" , not really the Chopinesque style.. and just to add, at 28 seconds the "What duh" look and the 35 seconds the "fish mouth" look and yes, at 57 seconds the epileptic seizure "starring eyes" look...
Come on! What is this "chopinesque" style you're speaking about ? Tell me you've ever heard Chopin playing the piano ! And I won't say the artist looks stupid but expressive, what is a quite rare quality for a classical music player.
@1y Are you seriously that dense? Of course no one of us has seen or heard chopin's playing, but we can know about how he played his works and how he intended them to be played by the account of his students and manuscripts (or even some great editions such as paderewski's one).
And that guy obviously is right, this is just a clown playing the piano, go watch a real pianist like Horowitz.
Now go and mark my comment as spam because I'm not saying 'BEST PIANIST EVER LOOK HOW SHE FEELS THE MUSIC'
Pfft who cares she sounds awesome and has great technique-it's hard to play this piece loosely cos the right hand needs to play both the melody and part of the accompaniment at the same time so your fingers are constantly up near the beginning of the keys where they're harder to press. NEway I do agree she looks a bit silly... but i love this piece and she plays it really well!
She plays so stiffly and shakes like she's having some kind of epileptic seizure. It sounds good but she lacks showmanship that's appropriate. Although, she makes some mistakes starting at 1:15. Also, this is Op. 33, No. 2. not No. 3.
huge hands!

She sounds awesome! Her expressions are different but that's just Colleen, without feelings she couldn't play this piece so well.

Chopin Competition requires original numbering, in which this Mazurka is indeed no. 3.
