for once i can hear the tenors... they sound so good..and yes i am a tenor... this is my favorite song to sing... but it is so hard ... with all those high 'g's and that one high 'a'... but it is damn fun
Thank you for posting this vid!! :D, I can't find find any professional orchestra/choir that performs it in C major. I like to play my violin along with the music when I practice at home, to see how i sound. Thanks :D
Hi there ... really enjoyed your playing. Is there any chance you could re-record the piece with just the organ alone? I like to crank up the speakers (am almost deaf) and the human voices drown out the organ. Again, thanks for posting.
I saw how you used those numbered automatic preset stops. I woudnt be surprised if you tell other people that use the organ not to change any of your presets the way you have them set. Is that the case? Just wondering. You know how your organ functions and sounds, and I bet you can tell if someone "altered" your presets! Is that ever the case? Is that your policy with others using the organ?
I do have the pistons set the way I like, but I don't have a note posted there telling others to leave them alone. I guess it's kind of like when you have your driver's seat set the way you like it, and the parking attendant moves the seat back and changes the tilt. I can't stand when that happens. :-)
That is because it's not G Major. The original Hallelujah Chorus is actually written in D Major, with 4-part choral harmony. The version performed here is a 3-part version in C Major.
Sry, I meant D Major. Still any chance you could get this in the original key with each part seperated? I'm bass and I'm not a skilled piano player and I keep accedently singing tenor due to Johnny Mathis.
@adobosazon Just got the 4 part out for a 3 part choir. can you tell me where i can find the 3 part, as a 3part in C major would be more suited to my choir rather than a 4pt in D Major. I love this video!!!
The organ was originally built by Reuben Midmer & Sons, but was later expanded in 1983 by Peragallo Pipe Organ Company. It is currently serviced and tuned by Peragallo.
This was so beautiful that it literally brought tears to my eyes. WELL DONE !

You can't be serious. Go back and listen to it again. Don't tell me you can't hear the one male voice that sticks out above the rest of the group.

...Do you mean the organist? Is that the guy that who sticks out you mean?
theaterpipe1 2 years ago 3
Yeah, I guess that is the one. Where the video camera is situated, I can't see the the organist's face.

There is one voice that sticks out like a sore thumb. They need to blend in with the rest of the choir.

@JTPWK I am an organist at the local church and I have 5 presets out of 20.
When someone changes mine I become furious.
