  • My little niece will be VERY HAPPY if she has a cake like this ! She loves barbie !

    Great job ! WOW !

  • You are so good at this that you should be doing this for famous people.I mean wow you are so talented! You should post this one ellen facebook page and get some business!Good luck to you!

  • WHAT FONT DID YOU USE FOR TEGAN

  • Dude those cakes look so awesome I want one and I'm like 14

  • You make beautiful cakes!

  • how much for this cake

  • is the cake for teagan pevler?

  • your a great cake artist you should start your own business if you don't already have one. I love making cakes, I'm very artistic too, but not quite as good as you. Also, do you live in Australia? Good luck with your pregnancy.

  • Such beautiful fondant calligraphy!! How do you make them? I've been practicing but I never get to have it pretty because it looks so messy.

  • Beautiful cakes! Two questions: where do you get the embossing template for the upper bodies of the dolls? And secondly how much do you generally charge for your cakes?

  • cool

  • Who farted in the first second of the video?

  • wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • i hope u have ur baby ok

  • Oh what cake do you use? i have bought a maderia mix?

  • @louholla maderia is great as it is a heavier type cake. Mud cakes are good too or rich choc cakes ; )

  • Did you cover the sponge xake in butter cream before you started putting the frills on AND did you put the doll in before the frills or afterwards?

  • @louholla I use a heavier cake with fondant as it holds the shape of the cake well and is easier to work with in regards to sculpturing the cakes. Sponge breaks up too easily for me. The skirt part has about 3 layers of filling (buttercream) and a is covered in a thin layer of buttercream too so that the fondant sticks to it. This is all done before I start decorating with the fondant. The decorated doll goes in once the skirt part is all decorated.I then add the bits to smooth out the joint ; )

  • Arrrrrr bloody iPad keeps sending my messages before I've finished! Anyway got what you meant about the skirt. Re colours, I have sugar flair pink and then another Heather? Your cake boards are nicer than ours, they are thiner and more shiny! Great idea for the candles too

  • The skirts brilliantly thanks

  • hi Andrea!! thank you so much for taking the time to reply to me!! thank you i found a fab video on how to do frills. you've explained how to do

  • Sorry one more lol! What colour pastes did you use here?

  • @louholla I mix my own colours from food dyes so am not sure of the exact names. I think the pink is a shade of rose pink & the purple is mauve(?) or violot?

  • Fondant in an oblong shape? And I love those cake boards you use? Glad your morning sickness is improving, I had it bad with both of my two too! 18weeks with daughter and 15 with son I found it was less servers with son because I made myself eat more, with daughter I was sick at all smells and tastes so wouldn't eat and of course the empty tummy made it worse I know now lol x

  • @louholla the top layers are just cut out in a circular shape with a little circle cut out in the middle so that the doll will fit though. A cut is made from the middle of this circle to the outer edge of the circle so that it can be gathered at the front bit so that it looks like the gathered bits in the front middle. This is done twice to get the 2 layers except the top layer is just a smaller circle. Sorry it's really hard to explain!

  • @louholla The cake boards are just the regular silver ones you get from cake deco supply shops - I think this was a 12 inch one. I am really glad the morning sickness is over - I think we went though the same sickness! Take care and good luck with the cake ; )

  • Thanks Andrea, I'll try to search for thrills. One more question if you mind ;-) how do you get the shape of the top layers of skirt? Would you just roll out finding

  • @louholla Try to find a video called 'making a child's princess cake' cause I remember some frills there. I use a similar way of doing it.

  • Your cakes are fantastic I particularly like the ariel one and the fairy one. I am going to attempt making one for my daughter, I've seen how to build it with the 3 sponge cakes and a 8inch Pyrex dish for the top curve and how to do the folds in long skirt but how do you do the frills? I have the same funky letters as you but what are the others letter font? And where did you get those little round candle holders? I'm not feeling confident about decoration mine! Am even going to try to em

  • @louholla You'll do fine - just give it a go! The letters are from FMM (brand) in Capital Block Letters. The frills are a bit hard to explain. Try searching for how to frill fondant. The round candle holders are just balls of fondant with the candle pressed into it. Good luck sweetie - they will love it no matter what it looks like ; )
